that I still get letters and telephone calls for my husband, who has been dead for 11 years?
Just had a call from an agency asking if he was available for work. If only!!!

Oh dear. At least you find it ruefully amusing.

I'm sorry though. Bit of a surprise I expect

Glad you can see the funny side! Flowers

Answered a call at my parents' house one morning asking to speak to my dad, Mr xx.

Replied "No he's been dead for 5 years."

They said "Oh sorry, can I speak to Mrs xx instead?"

"No, she just died this morning". Funeral director had literally just left with mum's body. Worst tele-sales day ever!

I'm sure sure they thought we were making it up, but we all just looked at each other incredulously and laughed! Miss my mum Sad

I think finding it amusing is the best way and shows inner strength and similar good stuff!
I was not nearly so strong when we used to get cold calls for my deceased brother - used to make me really really cross/tearful. The worst was a letter which came after I had complained addressed to Mr Crossbun (deceased). Confused
