We live within an easy walk from a huge Tesco. I can pop in on the way back from the school run, and often do. I take the car if I need a huge shop. I go for convenience, not the prices or the customer service But, am I missing out on great deals or fantastic customer service by going there all the time? I could drive to any of the major supermarkets in neighbouring towns, but there isn't a Waitrose, Lidl or Aldi within 25 miles (we live in the sticks).

I like some of Morrison's stuff (we have one close to the school so I get bits and bobs from there) and we get our main shop from Asda as it is cheaper (dh has to travel 5 miles or so to get to it). We also have a big Tesco so get things from there on occasion too.

Asda is much cheaper.

Internet shopping! All of the supermarkets try and lure you in to their online shops by giving you money off (normally £20-30) your first order with them.

Ocado!
They price match to Tesco, their fresh stuff is brilliant quality and their delivery drivers are the most helpful and polite people on the planet!

If you can't get to Aldi or Lidl then Asda is cheapest (and you get the difference back if they are not).

We have been doing online shopping as I spend far less than when I go to a real shop . You can try them all out with good offers for your first shop. We have used Tesco, Sainsbury's, Ocado and Asda, whoever gives the best offer.

IME Sainsburys and Tescos are very similar. Asda is cheaper but the huge number of substitutions and the dire call centre make it not worth the few pounds I save. Ocado doesn't price match the unbranded stuff that I buy.

I swop between online Tescos and Sainsburys, as they send you vouchers to lure you back if you shop with them and then stop for a while.

Sainsburys total rip off for the goods.

Can't beat ASDA for price and quality.
