Won't bore you but seriously, no good comes of deception, lies or even not bothering to say anything just to keep the peace. Grow up, face the music and bastard well say something, you'll probably have to in the end anyway. Family dramas would be much shorter, time consuming and well dramatic if this action would be adhered to in my extended family. Is it just me?

I entirely agree with you. I've always said it's best in the end to say directly what's bothering you, rather than seethe. Seething gives me indigestion.
I also hate lying, and hate liars. Dishonesty kills trust. Obviously one has to be a bit tactful and gauge the situation. It doesn't do to blurt out unkind/nasty comments. But if everyone knows where they stand it makes life so much simpler.
However, it does take a bit of courage and confidence!

"Honesty is the best policy; but he who is governed by that maxim is not an honest man."

It's true that no good comes of deception -- but try telling that to a deceiver.

The truth told with bad intent beats all the lies you can invent!

I do agree with you. I also think if you have a problem with someone then you should tell them rather than talking about them behind their back. What exactly does that achieve?
