I was flamed by my parents for buying my own bridesmaid dress for a friend's wedding in the 80s. What they would have said about people selling places i do not know! Why are they doing this, will anyone buy them? Is it lack of money?

Frozenchipsareawful · 21/01/2015 19:39

Ops, sorry, just looked at the link. Cant see anyone buying a place somehow!

Trooperslane · 21/01/2015 19:44

Delusional eejits.

Giveaway is the word 'wacky' to describe himself.

I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than go to their wedding for free.

Szeli · 21/01/2015 19:49

I've not read it yet but a friend of a friend is having her wedding in a castle and you can't come unless you pay £400 to stay Hmm similar i guess

GokTwo · 21/01/2015 19:50

That is so odd who on earth would want to pay to attend a strangers wedding!!

CherryLips1980 · 21/01/2015 19:51

Dafuq?

Szeli · 21/01/2015 19:52

ignore me. not similar. more josie cunningham

Theboodythatrocked · 21/01/2015 19:52

Why would you?

DesertIslandPenguin · 21/01/2015 19:57

Bonkers. Can't they just go to Scunthorpe, throw a bit of glitter and tat around, then pretend they're in Vegas?

forwarding · 21/01/2015 20:03

Oh lord they have made themselves look like totally cringey twats!

He seems awful. The sort of person you'd want to kick in the nuts within the first three seconds of conversation.

LittleBairn · 21/01/2015 20:11

They seem like attention seeking twats who are desperate for a viral news story. They should have invoiced their guests instead.

Can't afford an extravagant wedding? Don't have one.

Tinks42 · 21/01/2015 20:29
Grin

I moan about the expense of going to a good friends wedding let alone a strangers.

ThereMustAndShallBeTea · 21/01/2015 23:05

I love this. They seem to have completely misunderstood why people go to weddings. I shall enjoy the schadenfreude of watching no one bid for the next 56 days Grin

Pixel · 21/01/2015 23:08

If I had the money I'd go, then turn up at the wedding in an outrageous outfit to totally outshine the bride. I'd cheer loudly during the ceremony and insist on being in every single photo striking a 'wacky' pose. My 'date' would be a menacing-looking skinhead with KILL tattooed on his knuckles, who wouldn't speak (only growl) and would spend the whole time staring at people and clenching his fists.

I am a bitch aren't I, but when I read this Patsy is also hoping to tempt businesses into funding limo hire, hotel and flight expenses, a honeymoon in Disneyland and even a budget for gambling in Vegas' casinos. I thought the grabby duo could do with being taught a lesson!

Perhaps I should do an 'appeal' for someone to buy me a ticket Grin.

FarFromAnyRoad · 21/01/2015 23:12

Grin Pixel If I had money I'd pay for your places to see you do that!

ghostinthecanvas · 21/01/2015 23:14

We should buy tickets and have a mumsnet 'meet up' there. We would need a theme. Byo Pombears and naice ham sandwiches and gin.

LoveVintage · 21/01/2015 23:18

I do like her glasses though...

Pixel · 21/01/2015 23:24

Crikey yes, you'd definitely need the gin...

RandomNPC · 21/01/2015 23:46

And don't forget the £150 whisky table decoration THAT NOBODY IS TO DRINK

Tinks42 · 22/01/2015 00:27

Its almost a scam if you think about it. Rich westerners pay for my wedding please. Piss right off.

Cocolepew · 22/01/2015 00:34

Her glasses are really nice.
I hate people who describe themselves as wacky. Or bubbly.

PhaedraIsMyName · 22/01/2015 00:41

but a friend of a friend is having her wedding in a castle and you can't come unless you pay £400 to stay ? similar i guess

Not really. If the £400 overnight accommodation then fair enough.

I don't think I'd go to theirs even if they paid me.

MrsTawdry · 22/01/2015 00:50

Meh. Good luck to them. I bet they all sell. There are loads of frootloops out there with more money than sense.
