Am AIBU to request NO chocolate for birthday presents for me?

Everyone always buys me chocolate for birthday/Xmas. I like chocolate, love it in fact but don't crave it if I have none in the house. Yet if it's there I'll eat it!
AIBU to request no chocolate? Someone bought me a 22 box of chocs for Xmas which is a ridiculous amount to spend on chocolate!

YABU

I'll pm you my address and you can send them to me!

Seriously though, no YANBU. Buying chocs or smellies smacks of lack of thought to me, as if the person doesn't know you well enough to get you something you would really want.

(Had smellies for xmas from mum and sister. I don't have fecking time to lounge in bath and slather myself in body lotion)

Hmmm I think it's a teeny bit rude to dictate presents
I probably would ask dh or my mum not to but not friends tbh
Donate them to a food bank !

If you say no chocolate chances are you'll then get smellies. Know what I'd prefer!! Can also pm address if necessary!

Just say that from now on you only want vodka and cocaine.

YABU.

I don't eat a lot of chocolate ( I enjoy being a size 10) but if I am given some then I can enjoy sharing them with my family. I usually have only one or two and let OH and the kids eat the rest.

Passthecake30 · 21/01/2015 17:30

I got 72 mini bars of chocolate and 4 full size bars for my bday. Then Xmas came along 3 weeks and I probably got the equivalent of 8 bars/boxes again.

YANBU, I was very sad to think no one knows me better than the fact that I like an occasional daily square of chocolate. But I probably would've got nothing if I'd specified no chocolate.

But perhaps word it nicely lol.
