Strawberry cheesecake yoghurt fgs
and the ' ooh we are so crazy we like Gok Wan' shite advertising

mrspremise · 20/01/2015 21:55

ooh, but Fage Total 0% is lovely! I can't bear flavoured yogurts, but I could easily eat a trough full of the real Greek Grin

Armpitt · 20/01/2015 21:57

new no fat yoghurt
SO low fat you lose weight when you eat it

new Handbag, cupcake and chardonnay flavours

Armpitt · 20/01/2015 21:57

YANBU! God this boils my innards. Most of the yoghurt on sale and/or advertised owes bog all to actual yoghurt. It's just additive filled pudding called yoghurt so the laydees (because we are such simple creatures you know) think they're not eating sugar laden and held-up-with-chemicals shite.
Lidl plain Greek yoghurt with a bit of homemade blueberry jam stirred through it - delicious!

Plonkysaurus · 20/01/2015 21:58

I can't get through the Fage 0%. It makes me sad, all the texture but none of the delicious creamy flavour.

As a diet trick it definitely works. I can't justify going out and buying yummy full fat yoghurt when I have four fifths of a tub of gopping 0% in the fridge.

TiredButFine · 20/01/2015 22:11

A lot of the low fat yoghurts use gelatine as a thickener (yes you muller light) so I avoid them because I am obsessively vegetarian and the thought makes me feel il

Darkandstormynight · 20/01/2015 22:14

YANBU. I'm on WW and this time I've decided that I'm going to eat the way I want to eat for life. Do I really want to eat the 'dessert' yoghurts with Nutrasweet for the rest of my life? No! When I think back to the way I ate before I gained weight, I ate very little sweets. Why, because I don't like them!

Sounds obvious, but WW is famous for promoting all their fake sugar desserts and for a long time I bought into it as a 'treat'. Same thing with diet soda, I never drank regular soda before, and I certainly don't want to drink diet soda for the rest of my life. When you think about what you Really like, and eating that in moderation, losing weight becomes really so much easier.

FarFromAnyRoad · 20/01/2015 22:23

Excellent point Darkandstormynight Smile

And Plonky - the word gopping is beyond superb!

Scholes34 · 20/01/2015 22:40

Rediscovered Longley Farm yogurts the other day - they are fab and just so normal. Love the fat, love the sugar - all good things in moderation.

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 20/01/2015 22:43

Same with Slimming World DarkandStormy. Mullerlight this, mullerlight that. I began to wonder if muller were giving them backhanders...

PhaedraIsMyName · 20/01/2015 22:47

It's just additive filled pudding called yoghurt

Exactly. I like puddings, sometimes filled with additives.

PhaedraIsMyName · 20/01/2015 22:49

OP, my husband almost has to leave the room the Gok Wan advert annoys him so much.

unclerory · 20/01/2015 22:55

Because ordinary yogurts without sweeteners and thickeners are like SO calorific yeah?

Actually full fat greek yoghurt is pretty high in fat, that's what makes it so tasty, 1/3 of your daily allowance of saturated fats in a small 100g serving, I have been known to eat three times that covered in honey in one sitting. Delish!

PhaedraIsMyName · 20/01/2015 23:50

Full fat Greek yogurt with organic (of course) honey is gorgeous and loaded with calories.

Didactylos · 20/01/2015 23:57

I cannot believe that no one has linked to yet!

Full fat yogurt all the way here, for cooking and snacking

NoArmaniNoPunani · 20/01/2015 23:58

Why are the women in the ads always orgasming as they eat them? I ate a yoghurt once, I failed to get even close to an orgasm

AlleyCat11 · 21/01/2015 00:10

I wouldn't put low fat TV ad yoghurt in my mouth...
Or anything Diet. WW stuff on the supermarket shelves at the moment just looks grim.
It's all brainwashing anyway. Christmas = scoff as much sugary, fatty rubbish as you like! January = go on, treat yourself to this delicious, but guilt-free bag of additives.
Can't we just eat normal food, all the time? I don't care if it makes DVO all tingly, I'm not eating it!

Plonkysaurus · 21/01/2015 07:36

Maybe the government should change its Change For Life campaign to Normal Food All The Time.

Oh no wait, that'd mean people buying fewer brands and learning how to feed themselves.

God I've woken up grumpy. Probably because that 0% Fage is still in the fridge. And it's accompanied by a whole tub of 0% Yeo Valley that I just daren't face.

PetulaGordino · 21/01/2015 07:42

Plonky you know what I'm going to say... Just chuck them. We'll hold your hand. They're taking up valuable space that could be holding 10% fat fage and a pot of double cream

Thank you Petula, you're a pillar of strength in my hour of need.

I can't stand fizzy pop. With the exception of ginger beer and rum I don't tend to drink spirits, because coke etc are just grim. Any diet based on sweeteners and fake food is surely setting the dieter up to fail?

mammmamia · 21/01/2015 09:51

Agree and another thing when did yoghurt drop its 'h'? I keep seeing it spelled without.

PetulaGordino · 21/01/2015 10:12

I haven't noticed that mam but I do now have Nazareth in my head

"Yog hurts, yog scars, yog wounds..."

BitchPls · 21/01/2015 10:15

Who on here can honestly say that they'd be jealous of a cheesecake flavoured yoghurt whilst EATING A CHEESECAKE. HmmConfused

FailOfTheCentury · 21/01/2015 10:36

Hang on, where are you finding 10% fat Fage, Petula? I thought it disappeared some time ago - I can't find Total with a fat content over 5% now.
