To think I will NEVER go to a Warner Leisure Hotel...

If there is any chance of me meeting anyone as irritating as the woman in their current adverts! "Keep up! Colin!!", "Beat that, Colin!", "You snooze, you lose, Colin!"

Frankly, I am surprised poor Colin hasn't battered her to death with the cake stand and buried her under the archery targets.

If she is representative of the sort of clientele they want to attract, then I will be staying well clear!

I thought they were swinger hotels?

RegTheMonkey1 · 19/01/2015 18:04

Quite agree with you SDTG. I think it's a massive fail on the part of Warners. Why would anyone want to stay at a place that you might run into someone like her!

simbacatlivesgain · 19/01/2015 18:12

Maybe she appeals to those who want to be dominated?

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 19/01/2015 18:14

Even worse, if simbacat is right! and they are swinger hotels, Reg.

Imagine swinging with them - Colin would probably be very grateful for any affection, but someone's dh would end up with her - being told to 'keep up' - and probably having the greatest of difficulty in keeping 'up' at all! Grin

I bloody hope not Simba, my grandparents go there at least 3 times a year!

And FWIW they are lovely people Smile

simbacatlivesgain · 19/01/2015 18:19

They are adult hotels? I always assumed that was like adult cruises- a euphemism for swinging?

Just to be clear not all adult cruises (so not those marketed as child free- rather those marketed as ADULT).

One of my clients went on a Warner break- I was slightly raised eyebrows.

TwoNoisyBoys · 19/01/2015 18:21

Jellybeans, that made me laugh out loud........Grin

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 19/01/2015 18:23

Jellybeans - if your grandparents meet Colin and Mrs Colin, please ask them to tell him to LTB!

has anyone noticed that 'Colin' has vanished, she just calls him all the time
I hate that advert Angry

Me and dh have a pact that if either of us expresses interest in a Warner leisure break it is a sign we have lived too long and it is time to go.

BMW6 · 19/01/2015 19:17

DH and I have been to one for 4 days....... deffo no swinging involved (99% of customers well over 70 - we were teenagers by comparison) Grin

I'd go again tho - if only for the heated pool (luvvly) and sauna/steam room.

simbacatlivesgain · 19/01/2015 19:24

BMW6

Ok. But in the advert Colin goes for golf with 3 men. He then goes to the pool alone. He then goes out for the night with 1 of the men (they sit together at a table). They are watching a drag queen.

I assumed that was all code for swinging both ways.

Are you sure that there are no adult only Warner hotels?

simbacatlivesgain · 19/01/2015 19:26

Sorry- should have said that he goes to the pool alone to pull.

HowCanIMissYouIfYouWontGoAway · 19/01/2015 19:26

I've always thought warner were 'adult only' holidays. nudge nudge wink wink.

Are they not?

Hoppinggreen · 19/01/2015 19:30

I took my Mum to one once - I didn't do any swinging and unless she was sneaking out after I was asleep she didn't either!!

simbacatlivesgain · 19/01/2015 19:35

Was it advertised as adult only?

I am slightly worried that I was a bit brisk with my client- I really didn't think it was appropriate that she was bringing up an adult only holiday so cut her a bit short. I was a bit surprised as she seemed quite conventional.

Celticlass2 · 19/01/2015 19:36

I hate this ad. The women is really irritating. Poor Colin Smile

catsandstuff · 19/01/2015 19:37

My partner and I went to an adults only hotel last year. Definitely no swinging involved! Blush

simbacatlivesgain · 19/01/2015 19:41

I have found a review for Holme Lacy House which says they had swinging 60s?

So maybe it is just certain weeks like the cruise ships?

simbacatlivesgain · 19/01/2015 19:49

Ok. My googling suggests that I am wrong are they are not swingers. They should make it more obvious on the adverts. They could put some print to say that adult only doesn't mean adult only activities.

I am a little let down. My DH also thought they were ADULT only.

dreamerdoer · 19/01/2015 19:54

Yes! I was talking about this with my hubby the other night.... My personal theory is that she's cracked up, murdered Colin, and yet can't accept what she's done keeps talking as if he's there.

It's the only way to explain the inane grin on her face and the times she's talking to him when he's obviously not there when the camera pulls back for the longshot.
