We've splashed out on a very fancy double buggy to accommodate ds1 (3) and ds2 (5 weeks) and I'm just not sure where to keep it. Unlike our old one it doesn't fit easily in the car (it fits, but in pieces which have to be assembled) and in our new house, unlike our old, the car is round the corner so it's difficult to walk round and get it all out/assembled on my own with both kids. It's easier for me if its assembled and sat in the hallway. (We also have a garage but it has a damp problem so I don't want buggy in there... Also it's the same distance from the front door as the car so same problems re kids).
My dfolks think its a bit grim to keep it in the hallway (dogshit/germs from the wheels) and dh finds it unaesthetic there:-) but AIBU to decide its the best option?

We park it in our narrow hallway, yes visitors have to squeeze past it one by one buy hey ho nevermind.

We live in an urban part of London with ample public transport on the doorstep. Rarely collapse it and put it in the car.

Very handy when LO is asleep as we arrive home- they continue their nap in the hallway.

Don't get the problem re dirty wheels- unless you've been through a muddy field. No real difference to leaving your shoes around the place.

Really unhelpful comment about 3 year olds not needing a pram/buggy unless they are SN.

Maybe in your experience but that does not apply to everyone else.

We keep ours in the (tiny) hallway, folded up, and then we have to unfold it to go out. Not so bad now DS is 6m as he can go in buggy mode but when he was in pram mode I had to "build" it each time before we could go out.
Bit of a faff but needs must, no garage, no off street parking, only OH's car and he works shifts, tiny kitchen etc.
Where does everyone else on here live, Downton flipping Abbey???;)
I agree it's not the best thing to see when guests come in but if they haven't worked out that I live in a small terrace and have two kids, and all the crap that comes with them, I don't know them anyway.
My friend who has a mahoosive 4 bed detached and was always one for clutter free entranceways, and lived in a show home keeps hers in the hall too, for convenience, even though she has plenty of space, so it's personal choice sometimes too.

I suppose you could wipe the wheels with antibacterial stuff Confused

If the the pram is in the hall then it's in the hall. People's feet on the other hand are going to be all over the house, unless you confine them to the hallway, too.

We have a ground floor flat with wooden floors so we would keep it in DDs room when she used it. Now DS is using it, and he doesnt have abedroom he is in with us, the blasted buggy is in our room too. Cant wait til I can pass the carrycot mode and move onto it as a stroller then I can at least fold it easily.

Garage. If the pram is in and out of the garage most days surely it wouldn't get damp? Obviously I wouldn't leave it in there unused for weeks at a time if it might get damp.

We used to keep pram in hallway when baby was up to about six months as she slept there during day (cot was upstairs) , but we had a big hallway and it wasn't in anyone's way.

Now it stays in boot of car or garage.

in the living room I have a donkey for my twins and it takes up the whole width of the hall. luckily it's a big Victorian double reception but I wince at the chipped paintwork on the door frame every time it's taken in and out. I was counting the days until I could get rid but I'm now PG again so looking at it for another while yet, I imagine...
