To not care that my cat craps in neighbours gardens

Salmotrutta · 17/01/2015 21:08

I have cats.

They go outside (as they should).

They probably shit I the neighbours garden but mostly they seem to shit in our garden.

I suspect they kill small furry animals too and I know they do as well as birds

As do lions, tigers, lynxes, snow leopards, blah blah.

I don't approve of "indoor" cats.

Cat eating rabbit. Shock

Sparklingbrook · 17/01/2015 22:45

Lol at people taking this thread all serious like.

Buxtonstill · 17/01/2015 22:46

Just hope they don't eat any of the lupine, foxgloves, beargrass, lily of the valley or cornflowers I have planted. They are all toxic to cats.

Salmotrutta · 17/01/2015 22:47

Ah well Tyzer if your rabbit had been in the wild with a native Scottish wild cat (which we have around here in my neck of the woods - and I mean proper native wild cats) then it might have met an early demise too.

Wendy is a good name for a cat ... methinks Grin .

Cuddledaroundacat · 17/01/2015 22:48

I've got 4 cats. I'm about to move house. My new neighbours are going to hate me.

Janethegirl · 17/01/2015 22:49

The best cats are dead cats Grin

Salmotrutta · 17/01/2015 22:49

olgaga - no. My neighbours are mostly too busy picking up their rats on a string toy dog shit.
That would be the toy dogs who yap all day long...

I am not sure cats go looking for plants to eat really.

Salmotrutta · 17/01/2015 22:51

Buxton - I can't speak for all cats but I have never see my cats eat a plant.

That may be due to the fact that they're carnivores.

Sparklingcat is actually bigger than the yappy type dog down the road.

Bettercallsaul1 · 17/01/2015 22:53

Which of the 101 uses are you thinking of, Janet?

Tyzer85 · 17/01/2015 22:53

Salmotrutta unfortunately for the cat it met it's demise, I shouted at it and it immediately jumped over the fence and got hit by a car.

MarjorieMelon · 17/01/2015 22:55

It's fine and dandy that you don't care. Perhaps you won't care when your neighbour bags your cats shit and posts it through your letterbox.

PrincessPilolevuofTONGA · 17/01/2015 22:55

I have both a cat and a dog. I much prefer the dog. So much so I haven't insured the cat.

Janethegirl · 17/01/2015 22:55

Any one of the 101 uses suits me.

I really detest cats, don't mind dogs even yappy ones.

ghostyslovesheep · 17/01/2015 22:56

well if the neighbour has a lab and can prove via DNA it's MY cats shit (and not any of the 8798798798 other cats round here) I'd say it was a fair cop

otherwise the neighbour is a cunt

Sparklingbrook · 17/01/2015 22:57

What a lovely heartwarming story Tyzer. You sound like a really caring pet owner. Warms the cockles so it does.

Bettercallsaul1 · 17/01/2015 22:57

The most MN one is to hold a bottle of wine.

Tyzer85 · 17/01/2015 22:59

Thanks Sparklingbrook maybe the cat shouldn't have been in our garden eying up our beloved rabbit.

IPreferMyCatToYourBrat · 17/01/2015 23:01

"To be totally honest, I really do not like cats.... I did have a couple of kittens but got shot of them when they grew up. They are one of them most selfish animals I have ever come across in my life."

No love, that'll be you. There can't be many more selfish things to do than to take on kittens only to "get shot of them when they grew up". I know someone who's done it several times. I think she's a total cunt.

Sparklingbrook · 17/01/2015 23:01

Do cats eye up rabbits? Not sure about that. Bit too large I would say, unless a very large cat and a teeny tiny rabbit maybe.

At least the cat's dead though so no harm done.

Salmotrutta · 17/01/2015 23:03

Tyzer - well, I'm sure you felt good about that.

Marjorie - Now read carefully and take notes ...as I said up thread, mostly my cats seem to crap in my garden. If/when they crap in the neighbours garden I am sure they follow the same crapping procedure that they do in ours. Which is to dig, crap, cover.
My neighbours do minimal gardening - think hoeing and pruning.

ghostyslovesheep · 17/01/2015 23:05

maybe you should keep your rabbit a little more secure - buy a run so foxes and giant rabbit eating cats don't get to the bitey scratchy fury fucker

I really do hate rabbits they are evil sons of bitches

ExitPursuedByABear · 17/01/2015 23:05

My ginger tom (deceased) brought a baby rabbit in once.

I rescued it.
