Horrid divorce, finally got the paperwork through today to sign - woo hoo

I sign, put in the prepaid envelope and leave on the side. This is quite a moment for me and something that's been way too long coming .

Two hours later i see then envelope, opened on the stairs. DD, 3 years old, has opened, and can't remember where she's put the papers

Turned the house upside down.. WTF, I live in a tiny house, where the hell has she put 12 pages of A4 paper - arghhhhhhh!!!

Do they have a parents version of childline!!

Our remote control disappeared for days and days a few years ago. DS (then aged 3) denied all knowledge but was the main suspect.

So I sat down with him and said we're going to play a game. The first one to find the remote control and put it on the sideboard wins a biscuit.

Ready, steady, go!

I walked off pretending to look and within a few minutes heard the noise of a remote control being placed on wood.

To this day I don't know where it had been. Could you do something similar?

Does your dd respond to bribery. Chocolate buttons for the papers to help mummy. if that fails try lots of pain. (I am not serious)
Surely you can ask the solicitor for another set or phone next week and ask why the papers have not arrived, must have got lost in the post.

So after trying:

bribery - no good
gave her some papers and watched what she did - no good
Left another envelope on the side (that remained untouched)

I gave up and rang the solicitors and ordered a copy.

A friend came round about 5 minutes later, and voila she finds them behind my filing cabinet (oh the irony)

Still no bids, but auction ends in 3 days

Hurrah!
