Horrid divorce, finally got the paperwork through today to sign - woo hoo SmileSmile

I sign, put in the prepaid envelope and leave on the side. This is quite a moment for me and something that's been way too long coming .

Two hours later i see then envelope, opened on the stairs. DD, 3 years old, has opened, and can't remember where she's put the papers Shock

Turned the house upside down.. WTF, I live in a tiny house, where the hell has she put 12 pages of A4 paper - arghhhhhhh!!!

Do they have a parents version of childline!!

In her bed

LoveVintage · 15/01/2015 23:23

Could you swap her for something more useful? A detective maybe?

I actually offered to swap my teenage doc's for a four year old girl on Facebook yesterday.

Theimpossiblegirl · 15/01/2015 23:51

Have you found them yet, OP?

If not, I will exchange for a very premenstrual teen. We can swap back in about 10 days. She can help you look but good luck asking her because even if you whisper she will tell you not to shout at her...

DoNotDenyMe · 16/01/2015 00:42

My 2yo likes to hide things inside her toy hoover. Good luck!Smile

Jamrollypolly · 16/01/2015 07:52

In the bin?

ZombieApocalypse · 16/01/2015 11:17

I really want to know where they were now.

ipswichwitch · 16/01/2015 11:25

We check the toy bin lorry first. DS1
Likes to collect "rubbish" and anything important ends up in the back of that. Then his Mickey Mouse ride on with the lift up seat. He likes to hoard stuff! DS2 just obliterates things.

ElviraCondomine · 16/01/2015 12:10

DD1's shoes were found in the drawer of DH's bedside table, 4 days after we lost them. My glasses were in a pink sparkly bag inside a suitcase, courtesy of DD2.

I feel your pain, OP.

Enb76 · 16/01/2015 12:14

-under the kitchen cabinets, posted in the tiny gap between the floor and the kickboard

-in the middle bit of the radiator

-under the dvd player

these are all places I've found important things.

bubalou · 16/01/2015 12:59

Grin Love this thread - although stressful for you op.

My DS did this once with a letter to the DVLA - he had posted it back out through the letterbox at the front door.

Have you checked there?

Mandatorymongoose · 16/01/2015 15:03

DH's phone turned up (after several months) down behind the skirting board at the back of the radiator. How it got there is a mystery not looking at you Mr Innocent Face toddler DS

rallytog1 · 16/01/2015 15:29

Is she available to hire? I'd love her to come and make my 12-month-old pile of unopened bank statements, credit card bills and miscellaneous admin disappear...

DillyDallyDaydreamer · 16/01/2015 15:32

Have they turned up?

SpaceKoala · 16/01/2015 15:44

My 3 year old twins are the masters of hiding stuff..
Try to sit on the floor, and look around the rooms. You'll see things you would miss whilst standing.

And check wherever you store paperwork, she may have been 'helping'

Favourite places here are

Fridge
Toy kitchen
In one of many handbags
Toy buggy shopping basket

Or give her some crayons and ask her to find some paper to draw on
She may lead you straight to them Smile

Sallyingforth · 16/01/2015 15:51

Put some more papers in the same place, Retire to a safe place with wine and watch carefully.

ScotsWhaHae · 16/01/2015 15:58

We found dhs driving license in the video once and my wedding ring down the loo.

ILiveOnABuildsite · 16/01/2015 16:13

Between the books in the shelf? My dd once hid that flat pack instruction to a very confusing piece of furniture in there along with all the bolts and screws (individually - not still in the bag they came in). I had to look between all the books as she didn't put them all between the same two but spread them around and we have lots of books.

RosyAuroch · 16/01/2015 16:13

YANBU as long as you offer free P&P

JeffVaderRunsTheDeathStar · 16/01/2015 16:18

I'm not buying her I've got my own 3 year old! Want me to send her round to help you look? :o

weeblueberry · 16/01/2015 17:01

Have you found them op?

Try giving her more papers and subtly follow her to see where she puts them!!Grin

Simile · 16/01/2015 17:23

If your 2 year old isn't confessing then perhaps her favourite cuddly toy may be more obliging? Once reassured that no-one is going to get told off of course.

Grin
weeblueberry · 16/01/2015 17:26

In fact at this stage Id be offering her the moon and sun in chocolate if she suddenly 'remembered' where they are!!

3littlebadgers · 16/01/2015 17:33

My bet is a Barbie fridge (if she has one) my mobile phone was in there for 3 weeks! I found it a few days after replacing it Smile. Other than that has she made them into blankets for various soft toys?

tomatoplantproject · 16/01/2015 17:35

The washing machine and tumble dryer are favourite hiding places in our house. Have you tried in there?

ab444 · 16/01/2015 19:08

Any luck?
