over the bath and COOK letters over the cooker and BAKE over the oven went the whole hog and had PISS in large decorative letters over the toilet, FUCK or SHAG over the bed, ARGUE over the kitchen sink and so on?

Obviously I've been watching too many HOUSE programmes on tv and seeing all the lovely sparkly letters in other peoples houses.

What helpful words would you like to see.

BYEEEEE over the inside of the front door?

I'm thinking of BITTER and CYNICAL over the outside of my own house

I fucking HATE those wanky wall art stickers that say '12/03/2009- Kai, 19/10/2011- kailan, 31/09/2013- Kyra- in these moments time stood still' wanky arseholeness.
Ack ack and ACK once more

AuntieStella

Thank you!

Decals are definitely worse. There's one I see a lot on eBay for the underside of a toilet lid with a twee little poem.

If you dribble when you piddle
Be a sweetie and wipe the seaty

I die inside a little bit when I think of people actually thinking its a tasteful decoration although it is a good PA reminder I suppose

Great op.

differentkindofpenguin · 13/01/2015 02:57

In my student accommodation there was a sign above the toilet saying

We aim to please
Can you please aim too

Made me giggle. Would it work in glitter?

differentkindofpenguin · 13/01/2015 03:01

And how about a bit of shabby chic? shop.subversivecrossstitch.com/collections/all-kits

When we arrive (as we regularly do) at the Eurotunnel terminal and park outside the building we are greeted with large letters saying "EAT, SHOP and RELAX".

We always look at it and chime "WEE and POO."

I wanted to buy a door mat that said Get lost for outside the front door, Dh wouldn't let me even though he thinks it every time the bell goes.

In this house
We listen
to each other
as long as we all shout
at 500 decibels
and threaten to take away
the Minecraft.
Or wine.
And we never hoover the stairs.

My ex-friend did her entire house up with twee wooden words and quoty shite decals about love. She also paid for enormous prints of the family to place everywhere and hang wooden lovehearts off of. Just before she fucked off with some twat it turned out she'd been knocking off secretly for years, leaving her husband and kids heartbroken. He had a jolly good time rearranging the wooden letters.

It is my belief that my own house, which has years old photos of the kids which they barely recognise, no decoration at all, and an unfinished kitchen and fireplace, raidiates love. And shouting. Maybe i need a decal saying "Another half arsed DIY job".

Ememem84 · 14/01/2015 09:41

decided i need the following:

above the hob, and probably all over my hair straighteners - HOT!!! (mostly for dh's benefit).

on moisturiser - NOT FOOD! (apparently it smells tasty, so he ate some - body shop so non toxic but still...)

I found a sign i'd forgotten we had. It came with my egg chicken. The chicken is made of wire mesh. so you can see the eggs in there. it came with a little wooden sign which reads "Scrambled, Fried, Sunny Side Up Poached, Boiled"

I'm thinking of going on Dragons Den with my idea of printing 'put me in the f*cking bin' on the cardboard bit of the loo roll.
I'm sure to make my fortune...

Ememem84 · 14/01/2015 10:37

great idea!

or "squeeze here" on the bottom of the toothpaste tube (the middle squeezers wind me up....)

AnguaVonUberwald · 14/01/2015 14:27

For the toilet! Please!

RandomNPC · 14/01/2015 14:50

Gramgram · 14/01/2015 15:41
