So I've obviously NC here as I don't want this to be held against me for the rest of my MN life and I'm a coward Grin

I watched her fat tv show expecting to be disgusted and hate her but... Essentially she was right. Eat less, move more! I also think she came across as someone who was beginning to have a bit more empathy for overweight people, a bit more understanding of the issues surrounding weight gain and I thought she was funny!

When she comes out with things like calling overweight people fat bastards I can see that it's clearly to get that Shock reaction. KH enjoys the reactions she gets and to be honest I can see why it amuses her. It is amusing to see people getting all wound up and angry (like the woman who went off to call the police in the show...that was some funny shit!) when they could also choose to be like KH and let it go over their heads.
KH has people being pretty vile to her on a daily basis (not denying that most of it is self inflicted) but I don't see her sobbing and running off to the police blithering on about 'hate crimes' and 'prejudice'.
It's not just her views that are attacked it's everything, her nose, her kids, her wrinkly face ect. So how are the so called victims or their defenders of KH being any different?

It seems to have become socially unacceptable to claim to like KH. The mob mentality is so violent that to voice a differnt opinion to everyone else would be to commit social suicide and open yourself up to the kind of behaviours that everyone hates KH for!

For the record, I'm a bit over weight so I would be one of those people that KH would be laughing at as I jog down the road...I couldn't care less.

I also know next to nothing about what she's said or not said. I know about the Ebola tweet because it was on here and I knew about her show because I saw it advertised on tv.

That Palestinian quote is awful I agree but once again, free speech means just that she, and anyone else, can say what they want. (Within reason of course).

And for the hundredth time. I'm not absoving KH of anything. I'm not saying that she's a wonderful person and I agree with everything she's ever said or tweeted. I'm saying that she came across well in her show and she's one woman who has opinions, which is her right whether they're popular, horrible or not. That's all.

Personally I chose not to watch her show, she is an attention whore who insults people for money. I for one will not be helping to line her pockets. If at the end of my life the only thing I was remembered for was being a nasty, money grabbing bitch, I would be pretty disappointed in myself.

IThinkUStink · 05/01/2015 14:21

kim my point is that she came across well in her show. That's it.
I've lost count of the amount of times I've said it!

You can't have much empathy if you like her just because she hasn't said amy thing which directly affects you.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 05/01/2015 14:39

Her tweet about the nurse with Ebola and her comments about ADHD are vile. Hence I will not have much time for someone who likes KT

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 05/01/2015 14:40

She could come across like Mother Teresa on her show and i would still hate her

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 05/01/2015 14:42

Even her crappy weight gain experiment is shit as it will make people who struggle to lose weight feel even more shit and give even more ammunition to all the fat bashers around.

mammuzzamia · 05/01/2015 14:53

I wonder if those are her real opinions or it's just some pantomime villain act which has her laughing all the way to the bank.

Horrible person of course

ItsaboatJack · 05/01/2015 14:59

I usually manage to ignore this woman, but I did watch this. The whole programme was total bs I thought. She didn't just move less and eat more to put on weight, she had to practically force feed herself. She was eating 4000cals a day for two weeks and didn't put on a lb! The only thing that proved is that everyone is different,

I take what she says as drivel, but I find the most frustrating thing about her is her utter inability to even listen to another point of you, she doesn't argue her case, she just makes bold statements as facts and just tells everyone else they are wrong. She even managed to totally ignore the Dr at the end when he said it's better to be a bit overweight and fit than under weight and unfit. She couldn't even for a minute consider that fat people can be fit, I'm an inch shorter than her and when I was 12st6 (so bigger than she even got) I ran a marathon in 4hrs 20mins.

And even if she did apparently start to show her softer side in the middle of the show she soon had it pulled back in by the end.

So YABU imo, she's still just a nasty rent-a-gob v

Bakeoffcakes · 05/01/2015 15:09

I thought she came across well in that show. However she then twice referred to overweight people as "fat bastards"Angry

I'm back to thinking she's a professional twat troll who will do anything to get publicity.

You think that even when she was referring to overweight people as "fat bastards"?

She is hilarious. And honest. And right about so many things. The fact is, if you are a fat, humourless, liberal Leftie you would struggle to like the woman because she is so gloriously un-PC.

Janethegirl · 20/01/2015 22:43

I've just finished watching the show (had recorded it) and she did make a lot of sensible suggestions.
The 'fat club', 4 people all lost weight and seemed happy with the outcome.
But I wonder if the outcome would have been similar if there were really overweight people in the 'fat club'......

curiousgeorgie · 20/01/2015 22:50

One person is the 'fat club' was over 17 stone wasn't he? Is that not seriously overweight?

Janethegirl · 20/01/2015 23:06

I'd have preferred to see someone weighing over 20 stone.i know several fit males who weigh around the 17 stone who are very fit, but it's muscles rather than fat, iykwim

LoisDrankMyTableDecoration · 20/01/2015 23:54

I don't like her at all but see her as a panto villain not a real threat iyswim. I'm Scottish no doubt she's swinging a cain and twirling her moustache thinking of her next insult for us! Bring it on!
