to think my dh is lazy most of the time?

We took the tree down today and have a massive real one in the sitting room.

my dh decided the best thing to do was to saw up the tree whilst it was on the sitting room. He could have taken it through the hall and tiled entrance hall and straight out of the front door.

His version of taking the tree decorations off were leaving them in a pile for me to do I presume.

obviously because of all the bits of tree everywhere it took him a while to hoover up etc.

we were supposed to go shopping today for a lazy boy type chair and he announced after all the work he'd done he wasn't going out. so me and the two dcs all ready to go and he's not going. go on your own he said. well since this chair is for him why would I go on my own?! Angry

so this is not the first time I have had to choose whether dh does his house hold jobs - or - we go out and get stuff done.

I get my jobs done every day and still manage to go out.

aibu?

YANBU, but I do not have any constructive advice because my DH often does that, too. He sometimes finishes things when he gets back, but not always. It depends on my own frame of mind at the time as to whether it annoys the fuck out of me or not!

Well to be honest I feel like he's actual holding us back. there's always a reason and lately the PlayStation seems to be it. brilliant. Sad

Really?

Yes mince it's one or the other. Sigh. sometimes it's neither!

Is he generally lazy? Is he v itred from work? Do you both WOH?

Maybe he is just a lazy blob! Sending you and the kids out to by hm a lazy boy...oh, the irony of it!

flux500 · 03/01/2015 21:19

nothaving I used to make excuses up for him but I'm being stupid. normal guys aren't like this are they? he makes me feel like I'm being unreasonable. yeah exactly well he can fuck off to lazy boy land on his own. and if he thinks I'm going to try and be a good girl to see if we go out tomorrow he can fuck off with that too. honestly. I'm really annoyed.

It's not your responsibility to get him to do things, but would it make a difference if you did some jobs together, like take the tree down together?

Or just leave him to his own devices completely: "If you want the chair, get it yourself! " kind of approach.
