To be upset that my sister didn't ask me out tonight?

So , we have a nice early dinner together in restaurant.
Then we go to meet my friends, who she has known for 20 years. Great laugh.
Then they leave, a new friend of hers turns up, I've never met before. Nice, chatty.
We start to walk home.
Then she mentions meeting a friend.
Then they both walk into bar we are walking past and tell me they are meeting other friend
They do not ask me to go in with them
In fact, they've obviously somehow discussed it.
Aibu to be really upset by this?

Did they not assume you were going into the bar with them? Did you just say goodbye and walk off? Did you not say "oh am I not invited then?"

what communication was there?

Chefpepperjack · 03/01/2015 01:39

The friend they were meeting was finishing off in a restaurant. I would have gone there to say hello/goodnight, but it was only when we were walking past the bar, that they said they were meeting him there.
There was no invite for me to go with them
I've calmed down now, but I was really upset before.
Emotional, hormonal etc

Did they actually block you from going with them? Surely by this point you'd established yourself as a 'party member?'

Chefpepperjack · 03/01/2015 10:34

They didn't block my way, I guess I could've invited myself
But it was just a bit awkward that they didn't even say 'are you coming in'

They are probably wondering why you stomped off and didn't go in with them.

Chefpepperjack · 03/01/2015 10:56

I didn't 'stomp' anywhere!

How do you know you were excluded? Did they wave you off?

KatoPotato · 03/01/2015 12:03

Was it like 'right, so, we're going in here now, hope you get home okay? Bye!!'

TheLastThneed · 03/01/2015 12:06

It's hard to tell, but I'm sure they assumed that you would go with them...

newyearsresolutionsnotforme · 03/01/2015 19:48

How did the night end then OP? I'd be upset if deliberately excluded yes, but this sounds a bit like it could have been miscommunication? Have you spoken to her?

Chefpepperjack · 04/01/2015 22:26

Kato- that's exactly what it was like.
I just stood there like a lemon!
Sis was very hungover yesterday, she hardly spoke.
I think I probably cramped their style a bit, but my sister is so not like that, usually.
I think I probably did overreact, I'd had a fair few drinks, and emotional and pmt, not a good mix really.
