To wear corsets full time.

I went to a wedding and couldn't find a blue bra to wear under a dress.

The store I bought a corset from was doing BOGOF offer.

Ever since I haven't worn a bra, as it's far more comfy.

So would it be UR for me to continue buying them and ditch bras all together.

I'm a 36 e or f depending on the style of bra.

As long as your corset has booby support i dont see why not

Just make sure you get a good fit when it comes to corsets, otherwise your ribs will end up inside your lungs (Well, they'll bloody well feel it!)

Do you mean a full corset or a bustier bra? It's hard to get a properly fitting full corset, they tend to need to be custom made.

YANBU. I love corsets although I don't wear them all the time. I suppose you might be in danger of going full steampunk, though. Corsets today, zeppelins and goggles tomorrow?

I'm curious, I'm on the top heavy side and I couldn't find a good fit in a corset, where did you get something to fit you?

YABU, sorry. For the sake of your body, if you want to wear one all of the time you should be purchasing a made-to-measure one.

Corsets from sites such as CorsetsUK are made for occasional, decorative wear, not prolonged wear. They're too insubstantial and the wrong shape for full-time wear.

I love them and no one knows what we wear under our clothes but us.

I do have a recurring nightmare that I end up in an accident and everyone at works sees me being cut out of it - I have very pretty steampunk style ones so it would be a shock for them to see my white stuff dresses and cath kidston accessories removed to see that .

I bought a gorgeous Ultimo corset for under my wedding dress. Uhmmed and Ahhhed over it for months leading up to my wedding. Eventually bought it, fell pregnant and was 11 weeks on my wedding day and the bloody thing would not go over my bump. Now, having had two babies, I am not slim enough for it.

Ive kept it and do coo over it, but it wil have to stay in a drawer til I sort my weight out (starting SW tomorrow!). That corset is my thinspiration!

Make sure you travel everywhere with a chaise longue so that when you're overcome by a corset induced swooning moment you will have a comfortable landing.

I got it from a roadside shop somewhere in England.

I did look on corsetuk but wouldn't have a clue what to order.

The women in the shop was very helpful so when traveling on that road again will get some more.

I would love a custom made one, where would I go for that.

I tried on a really old fashioned very substantial steel boned one once. It sort of squeezed me like a tube of toothpaste and I looked like I had overspill - not particularly attractive. I looked strangely Victorian shaped (which is not surprising since the design of the contraption was this age) - modern clothes over it would look very strange. This thing rubbed too. You have to sit and stand with a straight back as no bending can be done.

I have always wanted to wear one but I'd need to talk about the right type and I'd rather someone measured me than I do it myself. I'd also like to feel the fabric so ideally want to go to a shop. Does anyone know of one in or near London?

I'm a 36G and would be really hesitant to buy a corset online - I do feel it's the kind of thing you should be fitted for if it's for long term wear. I'm too worried about back rolls and ugly overspill!

Thanks guys. I think I'd feel much more confident in a lovely, sexy corset. Used to wear gorgeous underwear all the time and then kids, fat, menopause, money worries all meant I sort of slipped into old sports bras and baggy grey knickers.... (Lovely! ). Need to change!!!!

There's a corset maker in the States called Autumn and her shop is Dark Garden. She's made corsets for Dita Von Tease and they are incredible. Expensive but I highly recommend!

I have a black custom vollers. Bought as an underwear solution and worn once. Nice but not comfy. Steel boning does not = comfort. It wasn't stupendously £££. It was £125 4 years ago, the receipt is still in the box.

I have a beautiful one from Rigby and Peller. It's just so supportive and comfortable. Blooooody expensive but their customer service is phenomenal. I have a hard time getting the right size bra, cos post breastfeeding they are essentially massive spaniels ears that flop out of a lot of bras. The woman at R & B sized me by eye and was spot on.

Not U, but for full time wear you absolutely need a fully custom, made to measure corset to ensure the best fit possible. A corset that is the right size and fit for you will be very comfortable to wear for prolonged periods and will not cause spillage over the bust or other areas, if this is happening then the corset measurements aren't right for your particular shape, and/or the corset isn't the right shape and length for you.

I also have a Vollers custom one. But I haven't tried it under regular clothes. Don't they stand out, especially with the big knot at the back?
