3 DCs, so I bought 4 FXs in the 2-for-£4 offer at Sainsbury's. (or maybe it was £5..) Anyway, the lovely, generous children always get me a stocking for Christmas as I do for them so I gave the spare one to the eldest and said "just in case FX is planning on giving me something this year..."

Christmas Day rolls in and as we are waiting on my bed for eldest DD I learn from the other 2 that she got tipsy with a friends the other day and ATE MY CHOCOLATE FATHER CHRISTMAS.

You did say just in case and apparently Father Christmas wasn't planning on bringibg you chocolate this year.

I've never seen "FX" to mean Father Christmas before. I was confused for a bit!

I thought FX meant 'effects', like special effects. I imagined mindblowing chocolate.

Humph! (sulking in corner at lack of sympathy from some posters here) I don't ask for much - I was looking forward to biting his head off! It's that first heavenly taste of chocolate before I've even got out of bed... I'm going to buy myself a secret one tomorrow.

My parents eat the grand children's chocolate santas every year and have to go out and buy more.

I think you need to make it clearer next year that the chocolate Father Christmas is an essential part of your stocking. It looks like your hint this year was too subtle.

My DSis eats the Easter eggs she has bought for her 3 DC and has to replace them. Every year.
