I am conscious of my weight after a struggle with it and my friend gave me a mahoossive chocolate bar. Not ungrateful as she gave me another lovely thing but was a bit Hmm

Am I overthinking this?!

Any more?

OP posts:

on Christmas Eve, DH said he hopes I like the crotchless onesie he got me. He added, he couldn't find one in the shops so he's done it himself with a pair of scissors and hopes he got it in the right place.Hmm

CarmelasFridge · 26/12/2014 11:28

Yes.

LadyLuck10 · 26/12/2014 11:32

Yes a bit oversensitive, presumably she doesn't think you will eat it in one go.
Never you DH sounds bad.

nevergooglebrandybutter · 26/12/2014 11:40

Grin luckily for me he didn't.

OP, you are probably over thinking this. put the chocolate in the back of the cupboard and eat in moderation.

Sn00p4d · 26/12/2014 11:41

I got sudocream and tumble dryer sheets, a jar of pickled onions and a car air freshener (I sold my car last week) Xmas Grin
I love the odd presents though, gives DH and I a good giggle for weeks!

nevergooglebrandybutter · 26/12/2014 16:32

I need sudocreme and tumble drier sheets!

toffeeboffin · 26/12/2014 16:36

I was once on a diet and my mate gave me box of Milk Tray as a gift Hmm

nevergooglebrandybutter · 26/12/2014 16:38

but you can still be on a diet and have treats.

AlistairSim · 26/12/2014 16:40

I got some Thank You cards.

Now I get to send a Thank You card saying thanks for the Thank You cards.

Mandatorymongoose · 26/12/2014 16:53

Surely that's the ultimate Mumsnet gift Alistair!

manchestermummy · 26/12/2014 17:13

A sheep onesie from Primark that is two sizes too big. From my FIL. It's not the onesie - which is hideous and I would never wear - it's the size.

JennyBlueWren · 26/12/2014 17:18

Was feeling like this as pil always give random odd presents. This year for a gift bag with a couple of kitchen things from poundland, a sticker set and a kinder egg. Quite disappointed until I opened the card and it had a cheque in it. I suggested I'd get something nice for baby (due in New year) and she said it was for me too treat myself with. Feel bad for thinking unreasonable thoughts.

Bellerina2 · 26/12/2014 17:35

My aunt once gave me a rather sexy black silk and lace negligee. Have to admit I was a bit Hmm but XDH didn't seem to mind!

guinnessgirl · 26/12/2014 18:25

Enormous bottle of Baileys from my parents.

I'm 14wks pg. Hmm

Still, I'll enjoy it in the summer/autumn after DC2 is born...

theeternalstudent · 26/12/2014 18:30

My mother has given me clothes two sizes too big. She is forever commenting on my weight. Bitch.

Alistair I gave thank you cards as a gift. They were very nice ones though! Xmas Blush

jbee1979 · 26/12/2014 18:33

size 12 pj's. I'm normally size 10 - 12, but currently 21 wks pregnant - just what I needed, another set of size 12 jammies for my belly to gape out of!!Confused

Theas18 · 26/12/2014 18:39

Reading this thread a lot of people are very hard to please here! Maybe you should all agree with your gift givers to stop swapping and buy something for yourself? After all they are probably all on their forums moaning about what you gave them!

rockpaperscissorsstone · 26/12/2014 18:49

Nothing to do with Christmas, but I once got a dildo as a leaving present from a workplace.

That's right, a DILDO.

I'll take your giant onesies and milk tray any day!

ChristmasMoaner1 · 26/12/2014 18:52

My dad brought my DP a mug, with a bicycle bell on it, with 'ring if you're horny' printed on it.

Very awkward for DP.

guinnessgirl · 26/12/2014 19:02

Theas, I would like to make it clear that I am truly grateful for the bottle of Baileys, as I love the stuff - but it is a bit of an inappropriate gift for a pregnant woman! Grin

QueenVick · 26/12/2014 19:07

I got a lovely white, plastic, microwaveable egg poacher from the PIL Grin

Oh and a nice new microwave as a joint present for DH and I from them. I was a bit Hmm when I opened the egg poacher but then Grin when we opened the microwave. Our old one broke about 10 years ago Blush

DH got me Billy Idol's biography 'Dancing With Myself'. Can't wait to sit with a glass of wine to read it in peace while DH take the DD's out Grin

organiccarrotcake · 26/12/2014 19:15

A toy, for my child, that I'd bought for my sil's child two years ago. Still with the remnants of the price label I couldn't completely remove so there's no doubt (even if the tatty box hadn't given away its age). Classy.

RoundYonPreMadonna · 26/12/2014 19:19

I gave DH a large bottle of apple cider vinegar.

In my defence I did the wrapping after a bottle of red and have been cursing yodel for weeks thinking it had gone astray.

WilsonWilsonWoman · 26/12/2014 19:38

My FIL got me a 'Sexiest Woman in the World' giant novelty mug one year. Creepy. Hmm I got a size 12 nightie this year even though I'm 20 weeks pregnant and a size 16 normally. Grin

MogOnTheRoof · 26/12/2014 19:46

My MIL once gave me red lace, see through primark lingerie Hmm
