AIBU - DS made me cry

AlwaysDancing1234 · 18/12/2014 19:44

DS has just presented his baby sister with a handmade Christmas card.

He made it at school so it's a little crumpled. He has drawn a Christmas scene on the front and obviously spent a lot of time on it.

I then read out the words inside, in his bestest writing it says "Dear A, Merry Christmas and I will love you much more than anything. From your big bro Xxx"

I held it together til he went to bed and now I'm sitting here crying "happy tears" and snuffling like an idiot. Tell me to pull myself together!

Cute, so bloody cute!

Likeaninjanow · 18/12/2014 19:49

I think I have something in my eye...sniff...

penelopicon · 18/12/2014 19:50

Definitely not unreasonable, had a little sniffle myself! How sweet!

CaptainAnkles · 18/12/2014 19:51

Adorable. Sniff.

mytartanscarf · 18/12/2014 19:51

That's so lovely Flowers

My big bro is my hero. He's completely mad Xmas Grin He has Aspergers and is VERY quirky! But he's brilliant as he is. I wouldn't change him at all, ever.

Andrewofgg · 18/12/2014 19:52

Weeping, weeping, weeping, how old is he?

Pancakeflipper · 18/12/2014 19:52

That is super cute!

Starlightbright1 · 18/12/2014 19:53

awwww

AlwaysDancing1234 · 18/12/2014 19:54

I definitely have something in my eye, as does DH who's just seen the card!
DS is 7, he waited a long time to be a big brother and his (and our) wish came true this year Smile

Aawww that adorable.

What a great big bro

MagpieCursedTea · 18/12/2014 19:57

Oh that's just so cute, exactly what Christmas is about Smile

dietcokeandwine · 18/12/2014 19:57

Oh that's gorgeous OP. You have to keep that forever and ever and ever.

I would be sniffling too.

AlwaysDancing1234 · 18/12/2014 19:57

Tartanscarf that's lovely, I hope our DD feels like that about her big bro in years to come

Fluffyears · 18/12/2014 19:58

Aw how amazing x

Andrewofgg · 18/12/2014 19:59

Seven years is a good gap; my DSis is seven years older than I am. We squabbled a bit (so will yours, OP, a bit later!) but we have got closer as we get older and the age-difference dwindles.

mytartanscarf · 18/12/2014 19:59

He sounds as awesome as my brother so I am sure she will :)

Finola1step · 18/12/2014 20:00

Aww. That needs to go in the special box (or wherever you keep the most treasured bits and pieces). What a lovely boy.

AlwaysDancing1234 · 18/12/2014 20:06

It's definitely one for the keepsakes box. Xmas Smile

My screen seems to have developed a fault, it's gone all wobbly HmmBlush

What a lovely boy you have!

AlexD72 · 18/12/2014 20:49

That is really wonderful. Can I suggest you keep that card in a very safe place as I'm sure it will come in handy on very special days when they are older! Like a wedding day! Printed on a canvas as a present. I'm getting soppy in my old age
