Well the world of celebrities.

Friend thinks she's beautiful but not the most but up there what do you think?

OP posts:
fluffyraggies · 16/12/2014 15:03

Hmm, no big deal. She's pretty, but youth is stunning.

I have a similar face to her (she has a similar face to me? Grin) and when i was her age and her weight i looked pretty good, but didn't have the money or know how to look that good. Most of us when i our 20s, after a going over with a top class make up artist, hair dresser, gym routine and diet would look pretty fine IMO.

EachandEveryone · 16/12/2014 15:07

She just looks like a tomboy. Nothing wrong with that. She's attractive but she's no Linda Evangelista. I don't think we will ever get those days back.

GlitzAndGigglesx · 16/12/2014 15:10

She has distinctive features namely her eyebrows but I don't think she's drop dead gorgeous. I used to be friends with someone with similar features and no one really gave her a second glance because she wasn't thrusted into the spotlight. I always used to think Noemie Lenoir was stunning

HellKitty · 16/12/2014 15:12

None of the girls are a patch on the original supermodels.

And Cara is pretty but those eyebrows?? About 18 months ago a group of teenage girls say next to us in a cafe. All over made up but pretty apart from their eyebrows. It was like a group of drag queen Freddy Munsters.

ilovesooty · 16/12/2014 15:14

Can't understand the interest in other people's appearance.

ssd · 16/12/2014 15:16

very pretty girl, but I see girls in the street who are prettier

ssd · 16/12/2014 15:17

ilovesooty, surely you look at other folk and judge? come on, we all do this!!

SpringBreaker · 16/12/2014 15:18

Without photoshop she is just an average looking girl.

cara

Andrewofgg · 16/12/2014 15:20

Please, no. I could name a score of "celebrities" more beautiful than that one but it would not be good for my blood pressure.

limitedperiodonly · 16/12/2014 15:29

She's very beautiful but her ubiquity enrages me. I know I'm being very unreasonable - she's only making hay while the sun shines - but that's how I feel.

The only good thing is that she's eclipsed last year's model - Alexa Chung. Who looks like Noel Fielding and who drove me even more bonkers with her knock-kneed, boss-eyed poses.

VitalStollenFix · 16/12/2014 15:36

Didn't know who she was but a quick google reveals she is a perfectly normal, attractive young woman. I think the eyebrows are just a little too dark and thick but that's the current fashion among many young people, isn't it?

I don't really take much notice of those professional shots, they're photoshopped to hell. And really good make up also works wonders.

I think Jennifer Lopez is gorgeous. Such a lovely smile. If we're saying which women we think are pretty. Grin

JingleBellSniffer · 16/12/2014 15:38

Both cara and alexa to me are awful looking but thats because they look like they're going to die. Also both not very pretty either. I like alt models as they're bigger, prettier and hotter. IN MY OPINION.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. YANBU.

limitedperiodonly · 16/12/2014 15:44

I fantasise about a meteor striking the Chiltern Firehouse and taking out a swathe of slebs who irrationally piss me off. Obviously these are bad thoughts and should in no way get me on to a MI5 watchlist of dangerous loons.

Sienna Miller has never bothered me. I like what I hear about Keira Knightley, think she's beautiful too and no worse an actress than many others. I can't see anything wrong with her jaw. Controversial in these parts, I know.

Liz Hurley never used to bother me at all in the days of That Dress. The Hello years pissed me off, particularly when she was pictured day after day in the same pair of white jeans, pastel cashmere V-neck and high Gucci clogs. And when she dressed her child like a cross between the toddler Prince Charles and Little Lord Fauntleroy Angry. But now I'm back to DefCon1 with her.

I really like Gemma Arterton. She's very good-looking and a good actress IMO

She was on the news today talking about the pay gap between men and women. I'd be very disappointed if I found out that she wasn't nice.

whitesandstorm · 16/12/2014 15:44

I don't like to criticise but really?? she's not even pretty, but then super models don't have to be these days. I always think she looks a bit dirty and gungy. To put it into perspective.....I wouldn't like to have looked like her, her modelling career has a lot to do with who her parents are.

ithoughtofitfirst · 16/12/2014 15:50

Ermahhgerrd

She purrrrty

lisylisylou · 16/12/2014 16:03

I don't really understand the model industry, I think if it's high street/designer clothes models they all look emaciated and pretty gormless. I recently complained to Zara (first time ever) as the models looked as though they were anorexic and really grungy! I complained about what a bad example they all set to teenagers and young women. I personally like real role models and older, confident women - kylie, alesha Dixon, Kate Middleton, Denise van outen - they're the ones I think are prettier. Maybe it's just that I'm getting older haha

MorelliOrRanger · 16/12/2014 16:07

Not really, she's an attractive girl yes, but the best in the world, probably not.

Sallystyle · 16/12/2014 16:12

She is very pretty.

I think she has a gorgeous little face.

limitedperiodonly · 16/12/2014 16:13

Last time I was on a buying spree in Zara I was mesmerised by the beauty of the models in the posters behind the counter. It was a big queue. I had a long time to look.

I was trying to work out how to do my hair like one of them.

I imagine the difference is a professional hairdresser and about 30 years.

lynniep · 16/12/2014 16:16

Nah. Beauty/attractiveness is very much in the eye of the beholder, although most people can agree on some. Monica Bellucci for instance. I've never heard a negative comment about her visage. I think Liv Tyler is beautiful, but a lot of people find her 'horsey'. Grace Kelly - she just had one of those 'perfect' faces and I can't imagine anyone would disagree, but it was an entirely different kind of beauty. More ethereal.

lynniep · 16/12/2014 16:17

(and if I was too look like anyone, I think it would be Gemma Arterton.)

FayKorgasm · 16/12/2014 16:21

I always think Helena Bonham Carter is beautiful. And Emma Watson.

squoosh · 16/12/2014 16:25

This week I'd like to look like Jessica Chastain please.

squoosh · 16/12/2014 16:25

Oh yes and Gemma Arterton.

LouiseBrooks · 16/12/2014 16:26

YANBU but you do need new glasses. Her features are good, very regular but her forehead is high and her eyebrows are very low. I don't think she's especially attractive and her sister looks better to my mind. I think there are thousands of much better looking girls in RL, never mind in modelling or movies. I'd have no desire to look like her, that's for sure.

She is a bit quirky though which is what modelling agencies like - think of Lily Cole who isn't really pretty at all,
