That they never really landed on the moon, the rothschilds and their central banks in every country but two, jfk, Martin Luther King, the Whitehouse has actually admitted assignating malcom x, the pesticides they put in food to kill us and the flouride in water makes us stupid and is rat poised.

I may have been on ig to long... can I please have some common sense or is it true and the world's richest are out to get us and control us.

A family friend was due to fly to Canada on 9/11. However, she cancelled her holiday due to illness. Or that's what we were told. Maybe she's an undercover spy who was warned not to fly that day...!

Idontseeanysontarans · 15/12/2014 21:22

The actor Jeffrey Coombes (Star Trek) was reported to have died on one of the planes - he had to release a statement confirming he was still alive, it was a different poor man with one letter different in his name who had died.
The actor still gets told he's dead..

ScalaDunny · 15/12/2014 23:50

The Pentagon crash conspiracy is bizarre. I recall watching a documentary which mentioned that some people pointed out that the aircraft wasn't captured on CCTV (except for a blur), thereby proving it was a hoax. The frame-rate on even the best CCTV cameras is set for the normal speeds of cars at the most. Certainly not the speed of a 757.

I think it's not just the lack of common sense (and that seems to be becoming a rare resource these days); I think it's also a strange kind of perception - almost as though some people think that the sum total of knowledge in their own heads is the same as the sum total of all the knowledge there could possibly be.

AlpacaYourThings · 16/12/2014 06:24

i really don't understand why anyone would think it is offensive to question the version of events presented to us. Confused

BalloonSlayer · 16/12/2014 07:11

I wondered about the lack of blood re poor Lee Rigby too. However instead of assuming a conspiracy theory I reasoned a) I obviously don't know everything about blood/violent death, thank goodness and b) perhaps it means he died mercifully quickly.

How people think a murder in broad daylight in front of hundreds of random witnesses is a fake is beyond me.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 16/12/2014 07:44

What I find offensive is people who have been bereaved or traumatised by their involvement in a widely publicised tragedy being told that in fact it's all made up and therefore they are liars. The Sandy Hook conspiracy theorists make me incandescent with rage for that reason. Imagine if that had happened here after Dunblane!

Given a choice between conspiracy and cock-up, I always prefer cock-up. There is no limit to human stupidity and incompetence.

bruffin · 16/12/2014 08:09

the Lee Rigby thing was odd though.
Strange to be 'decapitated' and yet there be no arterial blood spray or indeed any blood at all

I remember a conspiracy theory on MN the day it happened saying it couldnt be real because all the blood was the wrong colour ie the pictures gave it an orange tint. So either there was blood or there wasnt, the conspiracy theorists need to make their mind up.

Most of the conspiracies have a simple true explainations. Too many dunning-kruger types believe in conspiracies, a bit like the anti vax people. The impression they like to give is that they are an intelligent person who has done their "research" unfortunately it's pretty obvious they don't know the difference between "good " information or "bad" information and link to "whale" which is one of the nuttiest conspiracy theories of all time.

I think governments aren't transparent, for many valid reasons, and it breeds suspicion. I don't think it's a "conspiracy" that governments won't tell people everything. The illuminati ones seem to be born from a feeling that our economic structure is unjust/unfair and full of nepotism.

Conspiracies? I think it's harder to fool the world now. People are so connected, there is a camera in every hand, there is a way to communicate with thousands in every hand. There are hackers. People could be kept in the dark easier before. Although its possible I guess.

I am fascinated by the ratlines/Vatican saga after WW11 and the possibility hitler faked his death (using one of his doubles) and escaped. It might be wrong, but it's one of those theories that is plausible and neither side can prove.

Aussiemum78 · 16/12/2014 09:15

I thought mh370 was shot down, but the country who did it won't admit it.

^That

There is a small scale CT rolling around where I live with regards to a murder a few years ago. A few episodes of CSI and everybody thinks they are Grissom.

Feliz, in the same article it says 'Katherine Tee' saw it too in an entirely different place. So you know one of them is mistaken. Why is it so hard to believe two of them could be mistaken?

And remind me again. Why did the secret world government want a media circus round a missing plane? What did they get out of it?

BackOnlyBriefly · 16/12/2014 10:24

Was 'Katherine Tee' one of the "2 unrelated Malaysian women saw similar incidents in the same locations" because the sightings were 'hundreds of kilometres apart'

VixxenPlusAllTheOtherReindeers · 16/12/2014 10:31

Re lee rigby there is a man named chris spivey who has done investigating.

Check out chris spivey on google.

There are links between the EDL and the army, inconsistencies within the story, time frames, lack of blood, passers by interfering with weapons, placing weapons down, injuries to the two Michaels etc etc.

Read and make your own mind up. Alot of people dismiss it straight away but I like to read and make my own mind up.

ChoochiWoo · 16/12/2014 11:58

I remember hearing something about sandy hooks mums house having been yellow taped before police were alerted and that no bodies were being brought out raised suspicion, I recall that one a bit back,

ChoochiWoo · 16/12/2014 12:05

i enjoy a good conspiracy, I think you need a take it or leave it attitude,

CaffeLatteIceCream · 16/12/2014 12:15

I know no one on here buys into the "Elvis lives" nonsense but a lot of people do take that seriously.

Can't recall who it was, but someone recently said: "If you were the world's biggest star, adored by women, and wanted to fake your own death....would having a heart attack when taking a dump really be the method you'd choose?"

Made me laugh...and it's true, of course.

happybubblebrain · 16/12/2014 12:27

Who knows what to believe anymore? We are fed a load of lies by the media and averted from knowing the truth about lots of things. I just wish everyone would realise that and stop being so trusting.
