To want to smack DH in the face!? In labour

I don't condone violence normally but I've been having contractions since 4.10am, currently 5 mins apart and 'D'H has been on the toilet for 40 mins. Where the shitting hell are you !?! Come and hold my hand :-(

(PS this is a partially tongue in cheek post.... But I am going to kill him. What is it with men and the toilet. GET OUT!!!!)

DH did the same when I was in labour and needed to get to the hospital as the contractions were 5 mins apart. The bastard was lying in the fecking bath half asleep. Angry

Well.. how ruude that the OP hasn't messaged back! ;)

Hope all is going well, OP and tell your hubby to breathe it through and then pant! :)

cinders456 · 12/12/2014 10:25

Oh, and my ex decided to take the video player apart (yes, a while back), while I was on all fours having regular contractions!

Hoppinggreen · 12/12/2014 10:37

DH complained I was walking too slowly on our way into the hospital. I got my revenge by vomming on him at regular intervals throughout labour.
Good luck OP

BendyMum15 · 12/12/2014 10:37

Good luck OP!

My DH has been pretty good in both my labours but once when DS fell out of bed and bashed his eye on the corner of the bedside table he took an absolute age getting ready to drive to A&E. I was crying because DS was in hysterics and I was worried about his eye and DH (who is a freelance translator) was just 'finishing this section and emailing the client'. The bloody job wasn't due to be delievered for a couple of days! By the time we got to A&E which was 30 mins away DS was fine so we looked like we were totally over reacting!

Andrewofgg · 12/12/2014 13:49

About an hour before DS was born I had to go to the loo; it was that or crap myself. I learnt later that the midwife joked about "men always running away when the going gets tough" and that DW loyally defended me!

ImpatientMamma · 13/12/2014 07:28

Hi everyone! My DS was born at 2.04pm yesterday and my husband made his delivery at around 7pm last night. He worked really hard at making sure he breathed through the pain to make sure I gave birth to our son before he... I'm very proud of him Wink

Your replies kept us going. You Never fails to make me laugh!
