My left boob never really produced much milk, and my DD didn't really find a comfortable position on that side, so over time we used the right side more and more. For the last few months she has fed exclusively on the right. We don't even bother trying from the left side anymore.

I thought I was unusual in having a 'defective boob' - lefty has never produced much - but sounds like it's not that uncommon. I'd give up on lefty altogether but I have supply issues and need all the milk I can produce.

I produced more on the right side. We co-slept with them on that side of me so they suckled through the night and I think the extra stimulation must have had an effect.

I was a one boober, i got a nasty abcess (boobgate)on the right and never used it after that, we did fine til 20m. I have noticed my nips look different now but they look normal if u ignore the abcess scar

I started using one side significantly more than the other after developing stabbing vasospasm pains that would last for hours after a feed. I still had milk, but went lopsided. Unfortunately it got more obvious through the day at work as one side filled up more quickly than the others. Oh how I love teenagers without a discretion valve.

It's kept us feeding for over 18 months, and is about a year since the pain started occuring. The reduced feeding helped to reduce the problem. Now we're (usually ) down to one feed a day, I offer both. My dominant side is getting smaller and they are begining to even out. My breasts are significantly affected by pregnancy and feeding, getting 5 cups bigger than usual.

I did, right side is definitely larger than left because of it, but hey ho, only hubby know. He has little girl and big girl to play with. Make it easier to tell him to move on from to the other. Blush (i cannot believe I am going to post this)

I don't think it's a case of having a defective boob though, [plateofcrumbs]. DS 1 preferred the left side, DS2 liked them both and DD preferred the right. I think in our case it depended on the baby!
Forgot to mention that the lop-sidedness has more or less gone now, and we stopped feeding about 9 months ago.
