So it's DDs sleepover tonight....popcorn,DVDS,chocolate fountain ect.
And pizza....x2 large Asda create your own I got a Hawaiian and a chicken sweetcorn and bacon too (as its my fave) knowing the kids would not eat all the two big ones, and there would be loads left.

Evening going great until DDs friend asks me where to put all the left over pizza...." Just on the side love" I call in.

I've been in now to have a bit of tea and its all in the bin.

The bin being a carrier bag hung on the cupboard handle.

Mmmm it still feels minging to put my hand in and get some but I'm bloody starving !!!

Should I make something else or is this acceptable Confused

Is there anything else in the "bin" or has she just shoved the pizza in a bag?

If it's just the pizza it's no different to it being left in a box or on a plate really.

InfinitySeven · 06/12/2014 19:18

Is it in the box in the bin? I would if it is, but if it's loose, I wouldn't. Supermarkets don't keep their bags very hygienic!

watchingthedetectives · 06/12/2014 19:18

If there is nothing else in the bin or just a bit of packaging I would go for it. If it's old teabags and soggy cornflakes definitely not!

Muskey · 06/12/2014 19:19

As red says if there is something else in the bin that's a bit slimy or has gone off then I wouldn't risk it. If its just pizza and the box go for it

Mrsmorton · 06/12/2014 19:20

Hmmm, I'm just debating whether to nuke some dominos potato wedges that are a little 36hours past their delivery date.

Yours sounds more acceptable!! Go for it.

Everythingwillbeok · 06/12/2014 19:25

Just the pizza and a cardboard wrapper off a glade candle in the bag but its all on top of each other Hmm

I'd get the pizza. And a proper bin too.

Muskey · 06/12/2014 19:32

Don't let any of your dc friends see you eating the pizza they might think its a bit ewe. You know how kids can be

fuckmeblindiknowthatcat · 06/12/2014 19:39

YABU to eat Hawaiian pizza, fruit does not belong on savoury food Wink

Nativity3 · 06/12/2014 19:45

I'd eat it! Blush

Longdistance · 06/12/2014 19:46

fuck maybe they can remove the tomato sauce off the pizza too Wink

SockDrawer · 06/12/2014 19:47

'I'd get the pizza. And a proper bin too.'
This was exactly what I was thinking.

Eat the pizza, you'll be fine.

Everythingwillbeok · 06/12/2014 19:52

Well I've retrieved 3 slices and very nice they were too.

I do have a proper bin thanks but no liners at the moment!

Forgot to get them due to sleepover supplies.

I ate the wedges and I'm still here. So, hope your pizza was good!! Children can be wasteful... think of the polar ice. Or something.

abigamarone · 06/12/2014 20:07

What do you think happens to carrier bags before a customer uses them? They're taken out of either a box or a sealed plastic bag, put into a dispenser and given to a customer, not used to wipe down the toilets!

InfinitySeven · 06/12/2014 20:21

Abi No, but they are kept in a really dingy stockroom at my local supermarkets, and the staff opening them didn't really look after them! The sealed plastic cover is removed when they are put in the stock room. I worked there as a teen and it was the job everyone hated most!

CupidStuntSurvivor · 06/12/2014 20:58

Discreetly get it out and have it. Though take the pineapple off first...fruity things on savoury food is really boak.

Though I do approve of your bin habits. I do the same myself. I hate smelly kitchen bins and I hate it more when people try to cram stuff in when it's clearly full so the bag rips when you take it out and bin juice goes everywhere. And our way uses up carrier bags Smile.

LST · 06/12/2014 21:19

Wow.. I'm even judged on my lack of bin on mn..

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 06/12/2014 21:39

Which Glade candle was it, out of interest? I have the Chocolate and Honey one, it's very nice.

Sorry about the pizza, order another one just for you maybe?

Everythingwillbeok · 06/12/2014 21:53

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe it was a pumpkin pie one which is American and currently on sale in Home Bargains for £1.49.

It's bloody lovely going back tomorrow to get about 6 more for over Christmas, think they also had carrot cake too....in a cardboard wrapper offering $1 off next candle or something.

Muskey · 06/12/2014 21:55

The candle flavour should go really well with the pizza

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 06/12/2014 21:58

Home Bargains you say, Everythingwillbeok? That's where I'll be tomorrow then, stocking up. I love all things pumpkin. Grin

SockDrawer · 06/12/2014 22:52

'Wow.. I'm even judged on my lack of bin on mn.'

MN, where we'll judge you on your lack of bin but not if you want to eat pizza straight out of one! Xmas Grin

Autumn82 · 07/12/2014 02:12

I have a bin like yours- one for rubbish and one for recycling. They get taken out nightly (or morning when I forget). I HATE bins- they give me the creeps.

CattyCatCat · 07/12/2014 02:17

Oh yes, eat it. A bit of cardboard never hurt anyone. Defo go for it, I would.
