To be a bit cynical about SuBo's new boyfriend.

She strikes me as a lovely woman. However she is very rich and has MH issues and that is a good combination for any opportunist looking for cash.

I am speaking as someone who was conned out of my entire life savings, my house, my car, the lot when very ill with MH issues. It happens and I really hope this is not what has attracted this guy to her.

Perhaps I am just being a cynic because I have had a bad experience and perhaps I should be happy that she has finally found love.

Your thoughts please.

I understand what your saying op, but it could happen to anyone, so I hope she keeps aware of tgat. But never tge less, why should she not have a boyfriend?

LadyLuck10 · 29/11/2014 22:15

Raltheraffe what not earth does it have to do with you?Confused This thread is mean and doesn't even have a point.

Samcro · 29/11/2014 22:19

dfod op
so she has sn, or some sort and money
does that mean she can't have a BF without "trolls" slamming him.
very offensive thread

KnackeredMuchly · 29/11/2014 22:26

It's not offensive when you consider she had 45-50 years of being poor and a 'nobody' with not one boyfriend or kiss. Then fame and fortune and a boyfriend.

I don't think it's surprising to question motives.

I would agree that she seems to have a good support team around her who wont let her get diddled.

I know nothibg about him, I think with no basis whatsoever, that he is genuine. Good luck to them.

Samcro · 29/11/2014 22:28

it is offensive

Sparklingbrook · 29/11/2014 22:29

This is not nice.

LeopardInABobbleHat · 29/11/2014 22:31

I'm sure she has people looking out for her and the tone of this thread is very patronising. She is an adult an she can look after herself, so don't buy into the construct of her being helpless but talented.

raltheraffe · 29/11/2014 22:34

Samcro, you kind of lose the moral high ground on me being offensive when you use odfod. Telling someone to fuck off is not exactly nice is it?

This thread is really not nice.

ghostyslovesheep · 29/11/2014 22:37

that's your defence ? to be cross somebody told you to fuck off [hmm[

LeopardInABobbleHat · 29/11/2014 22:37

Are you feeling quite well, ral?

You seem determined to attract a multitude of Buns this evening.

itiswhatitiswhatitis · 29/11/2014 22:38

She has been famous and wealthy for quite a while now so not like she has suddenly found love because of her wealth. Chances are she now has much more opportunity to meet new people than she did previous to her fame so more chances of meeting someone and falling in love.

I agree that with those pointing out that asperger's is not the same as mental health issues.

I think she's pretty switched on actually and not likely to let anyone take her for a ride. plenty of women on this forum without aspergers being fucked over on a daily basis by their partners so no I'm not concerned for Susan.

so you judging a man you have never met, for getting to gether with a woman you do not know......cos she has some form of sn....makes you so

dfod

DoubleValiumLattePlease · 29/11/2014 22:44

I saw that DM story earlier - I didn't like it then and I don't like this now. I find it somewhat patronising, judgy and yes - the suggestion that someone would be only interested in her for the money really uncomfortable. Is this speculation really necessary? I do agree with Birds too - the use of SuBo has about it an unpleasant air - can't quite put my finger on why. Madonna is called 'Madge' in real life so that doesn't compare. Brangelina is also ridiculous - in fact - all of these made up spliced together names are ridiculous as if a person is only validated by the attachment of another?

Mrsstarlord · 29/11/2014 22:45

It goes back to the same thing as everyone being surprised that this slightly off beat woman could sing like a bloody angel - why shouldn't she? You don't have to be 16, size 8 with fake eye lashes to have a good voice.

She has a boyfriend, happy for her if she is happy but nothing to do with anyone else. The fact that there is a thread about it is quite sad really. What does it say about people? Nothing good I'm afraid!

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 29/11/2014 22:48

I happened to be at a bus stop recently where she was chatting to her friend. She wasn't surrounded by security and seemed happy, confident, nice and down to earth.

Not some pity case just being taken advantage of like some of you are suggesting.

LeopardInABobbleHat · 29/11/2014 22:50

It's the Telly Thing.

Gullible people believe everything they see on there Grin

MollyHoHoHoHooper · 29/11/2014 22:56

What a crappy thread.

If her boyfriend turned out to be Alex Reid and it was all over Hello magazine you may have a point, but you have no idea who this man is so why would you question his intentions?

By doing so you are suggesting no one would want her and that is bloody awful.

itiswhatitiswhatitis · 29/11/2014 22:58

Plus there's only one way to find out if someone genuinely likes you and that's to take a risk and get involved.

What's she meant to do never have a boyfriend just in case he's not for real?

Samcro · 29/11/2014 22:59

ahh but op can judge
SB has some form of sn
she is older
she has money and she isn't "pretty"
so a thread must be started

"Laurie by suggesting he is after her for the money certainly does not imply that no-one would want her for herself."

Well, in the absence of any shred of evidence that he's after her money (or basically any fact about him whatsoever) then yes, that is exactly what you're implying.

How very weird of you.

manicmum6children · 29/11/2014 23:05

Well if she likes him you can't really do anything and its for her to find out

Samcro · 29/11/2014 23:06

kim147 me neither

Samcro · 29/11/2014 23:07

may be the op should call the police
or email Sue to warn her...
