In the last couple of weeks....

Politics.

Michael Gove.

Ed Miliband.

Fracking.

Feminism.

Footballers.

England flags.

Banking.

Words ('smug' and 'pleb' both got called 'toxic insults').

Debates.

UKIP.

I agree with the use of the word for a couple of these btw, but by now its so overused its starting to mean fuck all!

Not at all unreasonable. The word "toxic" became a cliché at more or less the same time as the phrase "not fit for purpose". And there is just no getting away from that one.

Journalists these days don't seem to be all that imaginative.

Its just so boring now. Anyone does anything not very nice and its TOXIC Detracts from the times when the word is justified IMO.
