To think we may have a ghost?

Got up this orning walks into kitchen and every single drawer and cupboard was wide open!! The kitchen is small so was quite a sight when I walked in. Shock

No sign of burglary or anything. Safety catches on cupboards too as have a toddler.

Not the first time this happened, in other house my daughter had a wall full of posters. We heard a noise went upstairs n every poster was lying on her bed!

Also my 4 month old baby was moved from my bed to his cot.

Weird Shock

Jesus Christ, I'd be gone, sorry. Especially after the baby incident! Shock

LovleyRitaMeterMaid · 22/11/2014 09:52

Your baby moved? Omg I'd be out of there!

IAMFUNNY · 22/11/2014 10:00

My ex was terrible for entering the kitchen and leaving all the cupboard doors open whilst searching for something. Hmm

The posters was a window open, were they really all piled on the bed? Or were they scattered on an around the bed. How many were there?

And the baby, Ive moved my baby from one room to another and not remembered it countless times. Its just auto pilot. That, and all nights blur into one.

Booboostoo · 22/11/2014 10:00

Someone is pranking you. Who else has keys to your house? Could it be an ex-tenant, neighbour or estate agent? Change all your locks, make sure windows are secure and see what happens.

MeMyselfAnd1 · 22/11/2014 10:01

I have to say that sometimes I walk into my kitchen to find it looking like a scene of "The Sixth Sense". It is normally just DS trying to serve himself some cereal.

WorraLiberty · 22/11/2014 10:03

Sounds like you have a sleepwalker in the family.

WiggleGinger · 22/11/2014 10:05

Yup I think you have a sleep walker too it could well be you. You just wouldn't know

minkymuskyslyoldstoaty · 22/11/2014 10:07

how old was your dd in the other house and how long ago.

MrsCosmopilite · 22/11/2014 10:09

Sleepwalking does sound like a possible cause for kitchen cupboards etc.
Just wondering how you could test it out though?

ResIpsaLoquitur · 22/11/2014 10:17

No, you haven't got a ghost. Because there is no such thing.

TrendStopper · 22/11/2014 10:18

I don't think a ghost would move a baby like that.

AliceinWinterWonderland · 22/11/2014 10:20

Who is in the house besides you... partner and dcs?

WorraLiberty · 22/11/2014 10:22

I don't think a ghost would move a baby like that.

I don't think it would move house with them either Grin

fourwoodenchairs · 22/11/2014 10:22

It's impossible to have a ghost because they don't exist. Someone is sleep walking, could even be you.

Slutbucket · 22/11/2014 10:23

Sleep walking? Weird things happen to me all the time and that is the rational explanation.

EmberElftree · 22/11/2014 13:07

My husband leaves every drawer and cupboard open in the kitchen regularly. With all of the lights on, hall lights, all kitchen lights, bathroom lights. I also live in a ground hog day scene from The Sixth Sense.

TrendStopper · 22/11/2014 23:09

Worra you never know it might have been packed in a box accidentally Wink

TheLostPelvicFloorOfPoosh · 22/11/2014 23:18

Ghosts can be ever so tricky. It may well have seen the Pickfords lorry outside and hid in the kettle.

WorraLiberty · 22/11/2014 23:27

Those are very good points

I concur Grin

WineWineWine · 22/11/2014 23:36

Ghosts don't exist so there has to be a different explanation.

sharlxx · 23/11/2014 01:08

We have a duppy as well. Moves things then puts them back, loud footsteps when kids are all asleep ill even run up to check and kids havnt moved an inch. Dog unexplainably barking at stupid oclock, I dont believe this is a bad ghost though think its just on the wind up.

The house I grew up in was haunted it wasnt nice. Have seen things with my own eyes so believe in all this.

Patrickstarisabadbellend · 23/11/2014 01:12

I thought I seen someone crouch at the side of my bed once. Must of been my mind playing tricks on me.

DD1 sleepwalks and has gone downstairs to open kitchen cupboard doors. It's very weird, and freaked us out, but she's been caught in the act now. Many, many odd things in our house are caused by our sleepwalker.
