I know who someone is :( She said something the other day and I linked it to a post I'd seen. And someone else told me that MN ettiquette is to let her know by PM so she can name change. But that seems a slightly weird (sinister?) PM to get.

So is it? The done thing I mean.

tbh I don't much care if someone I know elsewhere knows me... I normally use my "usual" online nickname so never bothered hiding. This name is only in use until my partner can tell his family that I'm pregnant with his child.

So if it's me, PM me and say Hi :)

I would let them know. It's only fair. BUT I did spot someone on here who I knew and instantly forgot who it was did not take my own advice!
