Whilst we are on the subject of medals ect.May I just inform all ( ex and serving) service men,women,families that we are here to assist in any way we can. That could be with, accommodation costs,white goods,course costs,travel costs,away breaks ect.
SSAFA is the oldest service charity in Europe ( if not the world!) need help?

SSAFA have helped us lots in the past....

That's interesting. I started a thread yesterday about the "Help for Heroes" charity which many found to be a contentious charity for a number a reasons.
It was mentioned by quite a few posters that SSAFA was far broader in their remit, and a more worthy cause than HfH.
Shame they don't have the same high profile as HfH.

Lets not throw brick bats ! HFH has,indeed got a higher profile and Im glad for that.....but HFH has ,until very recently,only been involved with SERVING personnel,and then,only project based. SSAFA have no such limitations...all those who served (and their families) are considered for assistance. Our motto? ONE DAYS SERVICE,A LIFETIME OF SUPPORT`
