To want to fast forward most of the big name stores Christmas adverts

It started last year I began to focus on the ads being just too detailed,clever, manufactured - more like trailers for movies. It's already started again this year!! I still like the "holidays are comin' "Coke ad it's simple catchy. I love Christmas sooooooo much, but not these ads!

They are too long! I don't care for them.

I don't cry over them either. I just what them to fuck off

I cried at the end of the John Lewis one. Not because of the gooey sentimental message but at the realisation that I couldn't buy an actual penguin there. :(

I hate the Argos one with a passion. Not sure why, it just irritates me. The yellow arms clicking, the girls roller blading... the only really Christmassy bit is the snowman. I know the boxes are meant to represent a tree, but it just doesn't shout Christmas advert to me at all.
I miss simple, obviously Christmas adverts.

Hate the Matalan one. Pixie Lott is pointless.

I like the song played on the Argos one. Was in The Beavis & Butthead (remember them?) Christmas Special years ago. Fond memories.

The John Lewis penguin one is quite cute.

No YANBU because it's only bloody November & not Christmas for ages! Most of the supermarket ones - tesco, aldi, lidl etc are all a bit samey - they really need to think of something a bit different.

I like the M&S one but that's mainly because of the slightly steampunky beginning...

They should bring back the m&s one with Sean bean... Best advert ever!

i dont like any of them (christmas or otherwise), only watch TV on record so i can miss all the crappy adverts!!

What could ever live up to the image created by these ads? Certainly not the Christmases we all write about on mumsnet!

I hate the Debenhams one. It just reminds that all Christmas seems to be about these days is greed and indulgence.
