To be really irritated by Children in Need

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with the concept of helping CIN. But it seems that it's schools which are targeted for the fund raising. Schools which include the very children the charity is trying to help. So schools are asked to hold special days and raise money, asking those very children and families who are in need to give money they don't have. Isn't this just twisted?

That's a shame ratrace. The company I work for (which has a lot of employees, might not work for a smaller company) has a vote to select the charities that will be supported from fund raising (weekly dress down, cake sales, book people events etc) and that means that everyone has had the chance to have their say. There will also be one-off events for other charities as well.
