How would you even find the place? I'd imagine they googled something and stumbled upon a thread and stuck around. Am I right?

Some mothers still have intact Fanjos.
Unless you mean you're virgins. Grin

Ora you just made me cry with laughter after a massively difficult councelling session so thank you

We all laugh about it now but it was a difficult time . I actually got sent for a scan and had to suffer the indignity of a consultant (also a friend of DH) telling me I was suffering from massive fecal impaction. The shame, the shame..........

OraProNobis · 07/11/2014 16:17

Flowers for you Pretty - I meant to add those to that post Smile

Pipbin · 07/11/2014 16:19

I can't comment on the fanjos of mothers as I am a BOH (barren old hag) and therefore any opinion I might have about children or childbirth is NOT VALID.

ZingOfSeven · 07/11/2014 16:27

Pip

if you came out of one you still qualifyGrin

Pipbin · 07/11/2014 16:31

But what if I came out through the sun roof!

ZingOfSeven · 07/11/2014 16:42

I know pip

DS4 was born by ELSC. he'll have that same problem.

(plus he'll be a man with no fanjo at all so woe betide him if he wants to ask for travel advice on MN!)

what a riddle...

Lweji · 07/11/2014 16:53

(plus he'll be a man with no fanjo at all so woe betide him if he wants to ask for travel advice on MN!)

Totally worth a sex change.

EvilTiggyD · 07/11/2014 17:12

I got referred to as "She" in the weekly talk round up. I still feel kind of male though. Will check on winkie later just to make sure.

giraffescantboogie · 07/11/2014 17:15

I used nm when I was preg (lost my baby) but from then heard about mn and got sucked in

ZingOfSeven · 07/11/2014 17:24

Tiggy

will you just acknowledge that your winkie is there or is it a maintainence check?Wink

EvilTiggyD · 07/11/2014 17:29

I like to routinely check location of things like passport, lighter+camping stove+kettle, CRB certificate, winkie, emergency torch etc. It's handy to know where these things are in case I or anybody else should need to use them one day.

NurseRoscoe · 07/11/2014 17:42

Am I being unreasonable to wonder why some people feel the need to be so rude sarcastic and negative to someone who asked a simple question? The OP didn't criticise people without children posting she merely wondered.

ZingOfSeven · 07/11/2014 17:59

nurse

you can't be that naive.
OP poked the bear and the bear growled.
and it's not a discussion s/he has participated in so I don't think it was a genuine question.

Wineorcider · 07/11/2014 18:27

Yep, one here with no children.

Stumbled upon MN when looking for something else entirely, so lurked about and discovered/got hooked on the AIBU threads Grin.

That was aboooouuuut 3 years ago...

I also like the gardening and feed the world threads.

QueenTilly · 07/11/2014 18:36

NurseRoscoe

At best, the OP's "simple question" was exclusionary and divisive.

She may have genuinely thought it was a reasonable thing to ask. It's possible. But so what? If that's the case, her genuine question was still genuinely rude and hurtful to many members of our community. As well as the happily childfree and people who don't want children yet, there are members currently struggling to conceive, members with infertility issues that mean they will never have birth children, members without living children, and members going through the adoption process. Some of them post here for support with all that.

How fucking dare the OP suggest they don't have a right to be here? We even have specialist topics for those issues on this very site.

RudeBarbandCustard · 07/11/2014 18:54

NurseRoscoe To be fair, there were some reasonable responses to the OP's question. It's the comments that came after that that really rattled our cage and provoked the response you see here.

Some mothers still have intact Fanjos. Unless you mean you're virgins.

Couldn't possibly comment, Lweji, although that thought did occur to me when I wrote it.

Honeymoon Fresh ahahha, sounds like a laundry detergent fragrance!

Wineorcider · 07/11/2014 19:10

....oh, and I also like the ethical dilemma, arts and crafts and elderly parents threads.

Obviously, I have too much time on my hands to read all these threads because I haven't got any children...Hmm Grin

HowsTheSerenity · 07/11/2014 20:29

If the revolution comes and a coup occurs then I suggested we totter over here www.stfuparentsblog.com/ turn it into a forum and rename it bitterhag.com.

lomega · 07/11/2014 20:32

Wasn't there a similar post to this a little while back asking why men come on here as it's called 'Mums'net? Ridiculous. It's an open free-to-join public forum. Anyone can join and enjoy the conversations.

What about people who are ttc? Or possible future parents that haven't decided if they want DC yet? What about adult families? Everyone was also someone's DC at some point, what if they want familial advice etc

To wonder why people without children post here?
LividofLondon · 07/11/2014 21:22

I found this place whilst on the hunt for relationship advice. It was a few years back now so can't remember what I wanted advice on, whether I even posted, and if I did what the outcome was. But I stuck around because it's so informative and amusing.

HowsTheSerenity · 07/11/2014 21:41

Pipbin - I want it!
