Me, Labour.

OP posts:
ClaudiaNaughton · 04/11/2014 11:31

Conservative though voted UKIP in European elections to give Tories a shake up. Labour cannot deal with the economy and their front bench annoy me on many levels.

TheCunkOfPhilomena · 04/11/2014 11:39

Labour. My local candidate has worked really hard over the past few years and I can't wait to see Amber Rudd (our current Tory MP) lose her smug smile (she won't though as she's being groomed for bigger things in Westminster, probably why she's happy to see my local area go to pot).

Clubclassic · 04/11/2014 11:47

Tory, don't agree with all their policies but they are (in my opinion) the best of a bad lot!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 04/11/2014 11:49

Conservative for both me and dp, I dont agree with everything theyve done but a labour government would be so much worse imo. There approach to dealing with the deficit is to spend our way out of it and that terrifies me.

JackSkellington · 04/11/2014 11:54

Definitely SNP. If not, my only other option would have been the Greens.

Dawndonnaagain · 04/11/2014 11:55

Those who say the Labour approach to the deficit is 'to spend their way out of it'. From whence does this information come? It's not in their policies and Osbourne has borrowed more since the coalition came into being than during the whole of Labour's tenure.

Graendal · 04/11/2014 11:58

SNP.

KissMyFatArse · 04/11/2014 11:58

Snp

CharethCutestory · 04/11/2014 12:05

Labour. They're our best hope imo.

eatyouwithaspoon · 04/11/2014 12:08

I had a cold shiver at the thought of a Tory/UKIP coalition. I dread to think what they would do to the poor and sick.
I will vote Labour, I dont think Ed is the best leader they have ever had but I agree with their policies. I live in a lib/Tory and increasing ukip area but I wont vote tactically again after I felt betrayed voting tactically for lib dems to keep the tories out and effectively voted for them Angry and will just vote for who I think are the best party regardless.

OnlyLovers · 04/11/2014 12:10

Yes, a Tory/UKIP coalition doesn't bear thinking about.

MamaMed · 04/11/2014 12:21

Gosh the thought of Tory/UKIP (which would suit them both perfectly) makes me shiver with fear ...Sad

InglouriousBasterd · 04/11/2014 12:25

Labour. But this is a safe Lib Dem seat, unfortunately.

lunar1 · 04/11/2014 12:30

Ill vote tory but am in a safe labour seat.

MrsHathaway · 04/11/2014 12:35

I firmly believe there is no such thing as a wasted vote - all the parties look at the results to see where they can win more votes next time by stealing policies.

That said, I don't know who to vote for. We have a good incumbent who is Con, but he's getting on and may not stand again.

Labour haven't told me what they stand for yet, and neither have LD except trying to distance themselves from any and all unpopular coalition changes in a rather transparent and cowardly fashion.

Con are leaning too far right.

No to UKIP or BNP obviously.

I agree with a lot of Green policies but I don't expect them to field a candidate.

So, um, dunno.

ThatDamnedBitch · 04/11/2014 12:39

Labour, always been a Labour supporter. I do think Ed is a weak leader but then he may surprise us.

CaptainAnkles · 04/11/2014 12:41

Labour. I can't believe people are still trotting out that Tory 'just trying to get us out of the mess left by last government' bullshit when they've spent more than Labour did. People needing food banks in this day and age is obscene, and the way they've treated disabled people is shameful.

diaimchlo · 04/11/2014 12:42

Definitely Labour without a doubt.

I live in fear of another Tory led Government and a Tory/UKIP coalition does not bear thinking about..... that would kill this Country off.

I do wonder why people would even be contemplating voting Tory or UKIP unless they can afford decent Health Insurance or be certain in their minds that they will never be in a position that they have to rely on benefits due to illness, accident, redundancy etc because the Tories and UKIP want rid of them.

Yes Labour did bring ATOS in but the Tories have changed the goal posts that even terminally ill people are found fit for work.

And as for they have done the best for the economy REALLY? they have borrowed more in the 4.5 years than Labour did in all their last terms of government together.

Thurlow · 04/11/2014 12:43

I'd normally vote Lib Dem, but I've moved since the last election. I think I might vote tactically this time. I don't think my Lib Dem vote will achieve anything in our new constituency, so if it looks like UKIP might do quite well then I'll vote Tory to keep UKIP out.

Given a choice, I'd always vote Tory over Labour anyway.

OOAOML · 04/11/2014 12:44

Are there still safe Lib Dem seats?

Missunreasonable · 04/11/2014 12:45

Seriously: what will become of the NHS if Tory get back in? Waiting lists have already gone through the roof and A&E waiting times have increased significantly. Labour had managed to get theses things under reasonable control and we have gone full throttle into reverse.

What will happen with disabled people? We have already seen remploy scrapped and many disabled people left feeling on the scrap heap as most employers won't give them a chance. We have already had a Tory MP suggest that some disabled people should work for less than the minimum wage, which frankly leaves me feeling disgusted with him (and Ca'moron for defending him).

Regardless of who gets in: What will happen with job seekers and the already ridiculous benefit sanction system and the workfare programme?
What will happen with bedroom tax and the farce that has become of it because nobody thought to consider that not everyone is able to move to a smaller property because there is a shortage in most areas.

Regardless of who gets in: what will happen about the shortage of school places?

I don't think there is a party that can fully satisfy my questions and wishes but I think the last 5 years has shown me that Tory is not the party for me (not that I ever thought they were). Lib dems are not the party for me because a Clegg is like Camorons little nodding dog. UKIP will never be the party for me because of their xenophobic stance and idiots like Farage and the even more idiot Winston ex boxer man.

I am not a fan of ed Miliband but some of his promised policies have appealed to me (and also to the Tories who have bandwagonned some of them). I am going to vote labour but I would prefer any party over UKIP (even the spineless clegg bunch).

chickensandbees · 04/11/2014 12:45

Definitely not labour. Possible Lib Dem as I like our MP but maybe conservative as the best attempt to keep labour out.

Missunreasonable · 04/11/2014 12:46

People needing food banks in this day and age is obscene, and the way they've treated disabled people is shameful.

Yes, yes, totally agree.

Anthracite · 04/11/2014 12:49

I'll be voting Conservative, without a doubt.

FannyFifer · 04/11/2014 12:49

Labour & Tory are two cheeks of the same arse.

UKIP are for racist bigots, Lib Dems sold out and are pointless now.

I don't know what i'd vote if I lived in England, Greens I guess.

Will anyone be voting for the NHA party, don't know how many seats they are standing in.
