Me, Labour.

OP posts:
CrumpleHornedSnorkack · 04/11/2014 08:42

Green.

The only party who has sensible education policies.

RunByFruiting · 04/11/2014 08:43

No idea.
Votes Tory last time but being a Policing family they've lost every single voter related to me. Would consider voting them if they got rid of May but that's unlikely.

Labour would be an option if it wasn't for Ed.

EverythingIsAwesome · 04/11/2014 08:45

SNP

DrankSangriaInThePark · 04/11/2014 08:46

Labour.

Always and forever. Despite it having become somewhat stonewashed pink rather than the blood red of my dreams.

I would vote Tory before I ever voted for Clegg.

MogTheForgetfulCat · 04/11/2014 08:53

Green, I think. Voted LD last time and felt totally betrayed at both national and local level (local MP turned out to be a spineless wanker who stood on my doorstep and lied to me). Bit worried my area will go over to Tories or, even worse, UKIP.

RockinHippy · 04/11/2014 08:56

I'm another hoping another good alternative pops up before May, as none of the are worth my vote :(

I really want to vote Green, but sadly we have experience of a Green run council & the locals are mostly so unhappy at things here, they won't get in again. Our house is currently shaking with the noise of roadworks which have gone on for months, this is to make yet more changes to the cities roads, this is costing millions, causes bottlenecks & is affecting traffic & businesses badly. We have a serious shortage of schools & much more, but millions have been wasted on these roads instead. I have much respect for our Green MP as a person, but sadly I will not vote for them again & I doubt many others will either.

Unless some miracle happens, I will vote tactically to get the Tories out according to what looks most effective at the time, but I'm most certainly won't be voting for the more bigoted version of the Tories that is UKIP

SpuffySummers · 04/11/2014 08:58

Labour.

Missunreasonable · 04/11/2014 09:01

Labour.
I would never vote Tory because of the way have demonised disabled people and poor people.
I would never vote ukip because they are full of contradictions and I see them as just a more accepted form of the BNP.
Lib dems are just a total farce.

SNP

I'm just glad that I have that option!

Sad to see so many reluctantly voting labour. They really have lost the plot as it's obvious so many people feel like they should be labourvbut don't feel represented by the labour party we have today.

Vote socialist, Green or raving looney if you want. There's no such thing as a wasted vote although we are in desperate need of electoral reform.

Though random votes for lots of small parties won't get the Tories out.

LurkingHusband · 04/11/2014 09:10

Fascinating to see so many people keen to vote for the party which gave us ESA, PIP and ATOS ...

i.e. The Labour party.

Seems a lot of knee-jerk voters here ("I've always voted ....", "I would never vote anything other than ..."). How must it feel to be so disposable to your MP ?

MrsLH and I are heartily sick of the big 3, and UKIP are a no-no, so it's Greens for us.

Kinnane · 04/11/2014 09:19

Labour.

Labour + Provide fairer access to mental health services.
We will make mental health the priority it deserves to be. We will ensure that people have access to the treatment and services they need. We will make sure all professional NHS staff receive mental health training.

Labour + We will extend free childcare from 15 to 25 hours for working parents with three and four-year-olds paid for by an increase in the bank levy. This will benefit nearly half a million three and four-year-olds and their families and help parents overcome the barrier to getting back to work or working more hours.

PinkSparklyElephant · 04/11/2014 09:20

Possibly Tory but our local MP (Tory) is useless. If they piss me off much more though it'll be a protest vote for the Monster Raving Loonies.

WalkingInMemphis · 04/11/2014 09:21

No one at this rate.

Usually it would be Labour but the Mr Bean lookalike they have in charge really puts me off tbh. I just can't warm to him at all. I've got more charisma in my left little toe.

rollonthesummer · 04/11/2014 09:24

We need another alternative.

bobbywash · 04/11/2014 09:31

I cannot see myself voting Labour, I'm not even sure what they stand for any more, Politics used to be something that seemed like a calling, an attempt to better society, the last several loads of labour politicians have done nothing but feather their own nests.

As for the Tories and their continual lurches to the right, that's horrific and no one with any sanity could vote for them either.

UKIP are just unelectable idiots with no coherant policy on anything

So that leaves the Lib Dems, they will be decimated after the election so no hope of power, but in the local constituancy, it's either them or UKIP.

Hence Lib Dem.

Dawndonnaagain · 04/11/2014 09:35

Green.
I'm an ex Labour councillor.

Taz1212 · 04/11/2014 09:39

Tory. I am Scotland's only Tory voter. Grin

FannyFifer · 04/11/2014 09:41

Ah sure Taz someone has to be. Grin

Popsandpip · 04/11/2014 09:41

Tories. They are the only party who can/will sort out our economy. Which, in the long run, is the only way there will be any money for NHS, education, welfare, etc. Labour will just spend, spend, spend - which is popular in the short term - but will be devastating when it comes to interest rates and tax hikes. So, less money in the longer term.

Chachah · 04/11/2014 09:45

not voting, because I'm not allowed to even though I'm a permanent resident and have paid taxes here for years. (can you tell I'm bitter! ;-)

but if I could, I'd probably vote Green.

Tobagostreet · 04/11/2014 09:47

YANBU, and I'm happy to share.

So tempted to do a 'Brewsters Millions' and vote 'None of the above', but will actually vote SNP.

As a lifelong Labour voter, the only thing which would swing me back to the party is a drastic change in leadership (Diane Abbott was a decent suggestion from one of the previous posters).

I predict a huge SNP majority in Scotland and major apathy in England where there is no real viable alternative to the Tory/Labour majority. Even the upsurge in popularity of UKIP will be a drop in the ocean as the party is still associated with xenophobia (rightly or wrongly).

OOAOML · 04/11/2014 10:20

17% of Scotland in 2010 Taz. Quite scattered though so you might need to organise a lot of house moves. Personally I think the SNP will gain in former Labour seats and lose out in former Tory seats.

I'm lucky that my local Labour MP is pretty good. But even if he wasn't, I couldn't vote SNP (which I have on occasion in the past) whilst another referendum is potentially going to be in their manifesto. Also not impressed with current SNP government.

Not impressed with Miliband, but making an effort to see past that.
