To wish the BBC would make more family series for Sunday late afternoon TV?

Maybe it's me getting older but I was just thinking about the serials that used to be on the BBC around now on a Sunday. Narnia, Five Children and It, The Borrowers etc.

Is it wrong to wish for more series like that to enjoy with the DC so I don't have to endure quite so much CBeebies

Oh Robin of Sherwood was brilliant! How did his hair stay so long and luxurious in the forest? Did he has an early prototype of Herbal Essences?

Lovely memories of Sunday afternoons/tea times in the run up to Christmas watching these BBC programmes with my DM and DB. I remember Martin Chuzzelwit was on one year. Fantastic.

Oh yes, My Family and Other Animals was good, although I seem to remember being incensed that the lead child actor really couldn't act for toffee... (whereas the Narnia children from around the same time really could)

I had a bit if a crush on Larry in My Family and other Animals. This creeped me out a bit when I was older and read his books.
