That's it really. I'm very lonely today Sad I have pnd and this afternoon is not a good day for me.
I'm sitting here crying, DC haven't had their dinner yet (normally eat at 7pm) Its half done on the kitchen side. DH is at work and my eldest DC is at his dads for dinner.
I need to pull it together as I have a lady dropping ironing round (need the money)
I called DH, though he is busy & cant talk Sad

So as pathetic as it is, I am asking please MN talk to me.

I'll chat with you OP. My husband works away a lot and I often got lonely of an evening.

I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant and have an overwhelming urge to have mince pie (it's just this minute entered my head) but I'm already in my pjs and I can't be bothered to get dressed and go and get some!

I hope your lamb wraps turned out well, try sounded lovely!

DoJo · 30/10/2014 20:24

Another one who is happy to chat and remind you that you are doing the best thing you can - your kids won't starve if they eat a little late and making contact with people who can offer a listening ear is important to keep on to of your PND. Will doing the ironing in front of the TV help you to switch off for the rest of the evening? A nice mindless task which won't require much thought but will be an impressive achievement to hang today on sounds like it could be a good plan.

Margaritte · 30/10/2014 20:27

So many replies. I ended up throwing grated cheese and salad bits in the spare wraps for the DC, as even though the lamb ones were in oven, would of taken too long still.
They are wrapped in foil, so will be fine until tomorrow lunch.
I don't eat with DH as he works long nights mostly.

I don't do my own ironing, we just need the money.

DeriArms · 30/10/2014 20:34

Ha, I too iron clothes for others but can NEVER be arsed to do my own.
Hope you are feeling a bit better x

LuisSuarezFangs · 30/10/2014 20:47

Well the wraps still sound good to me! Smile

LuisSuarezFangs · 30/10/2014 20:48

I'm the same Deri

Hatespiders · 30/10/2014 21:41

How are you doing now, Margaritte?
Have just looked at our pile of ironing, then thought "Nah!" I'll probably just fold the things. No-one will notice. And my dh loves ironing, luckily!
I find putting the clocks back depresses me a bit. It gets dark so blooming early. We seem to no sooner have opened the curtains than we're closing them again. My sister lives in Scotland and it must be like living underground. Very little daylight in winter.
Thinking of you and sending you lots of support. x

Fluftytufty · 30/10/2014 21:46

Hiya, I'm here too. I know how you feel unfortunately. I also have an 18 month old little girl, she's a lovely wee thing ?? my wee ivf miracle.

I hope you got tea sorted out okay and you've now got your feet up.

Margaritte · 30/10/2014 22:33

Thank you for all the lovely support on here. I've put the dc to bed, then had a shower once eldest got dropped back home.
All in bed now and I'm sitting here looking at the chaos that is everywhere.
The ironing was a no show Confused Could of done with the money really.
I think I'm still finding it hard as DH is not back for a few hours yet, I'm quite exhausted, though too tense to sleep & I need to get the place tidy too.
Is nice to hear all little bits about you all too. Just reread the thread and seeing what everyone is up too.

Hope you don't exhaust yourself more by doing too much tidying.Do the minimum and then take it easy till dh home. I have gone to bed with a cup of tea Smile

londonrach · 30/10/2014 23:15

Here to. Been into london to see the poppies at the tower. On mass they were amazing. So many people. Walked back through liverpool street train station. The band was playing including queen dont stop me now. Dh and i watched the people coming and going like little ants with this amazing live museum in front of us. Very magic feeling. Another one who doesnt iron. X

Fluftytufty · 30/10/2014 23:25

I'm sitting here stuffing my face with cheesecake. Anyone fancy a bit? Smile

kentishgirl · 30/10/2014 23:43

Hi Margaritte,

Sorry you've been feeling so rotten today, hope your DH gets home soon and gives you a nice cuddle. x

I've been watching TV all evening while DP snores at the other end of the sofa. We ended up not bothering much with dinner as well. He's knackered from work, I was a bit off colour, neither of us very hungry, so although we usually cook from scratch, tonight we just made a big stack of toast and had that. And it was lovely! I'm sure your children enjoyed their cheesy wraps.

Hope things are a bit brighter for you in the morning.

Margaritte · 30/10/2014 23:46

london Your day sounds lovely . As does your cheesecake Flufty

I really haven't done much. Really do need to tidy up though. Place is chaos & really not quite sure how to handle the kitchen. Is a mess. DH will be home soon anyway & am torn between leaving the mess and just popping one of the made wraps in the oven for him to somehow make it better(?) or just getting off my arse and tidying it all.
He will tidy it, though I am aware that he has been at work and I feel bad.

Really just want to do what Flufty is doing. In bed, tea & cheesecake.

Crossed posts with Kentishgirl (wonder if you are near me) I miss having the company, even if DH was here, just snoring, like your DH. Is just the not being alone that I want.

londonrach · 31/10/2014 06:33

Hope you enjoyed your wraps op

Catsize · 31/10/2014 07:50

Hope you have a better day today OP. Xxx

Deathraystare · 31/10/2014 08:11

PND - post natal depression? Are you having treatment for it?

I have never had it as nevr been preggers. However, I do get very very down at times. What I do is put on some cheesey dance music and dance and singalong. The cheesier the better. Even better if your kids are old enough to join in!!!! You should (NOT!) see me dance to Tom ones' Sex Bomb!!

Fluftytufty · 31/10/2014 09:46

Margaritte if you were closer I'd give you a piece. Cake

My house is a tip. My wee girl is like a whirlwind, I'm finding peppa pig magnets everywhere, my kitchen is a bomb site. Cleaning has gone out the window. Leave it to the morning and go to bed with a cuppa Smile

MiracleQuestion · 31/10/2014 09:54

Hello Margaritte. I remember your other thread and I'm glad to see that you are still getting support here.

How did you get on with Home-Start? Are you getting a befriending visitor?

I hope that your Friday is a little better than yesterday.

Tamzin125 · 31/10/2014 12:01

Hi Margaritte,

How are you feeling today? Hope today is a brighter day for you :)

Sending hugs and Flowers

Margaritte · 31/10/2014 12:13

Yes, today is slightly better, thank you Catsize DH has put our Halloween decorations up & the dc are happy for it. He's gone to work now, and will be there until early hours though has arranged to pop home later as he wants to help me with trick or treating. (either I'll go with him or stay here & sort dinner for when they get home)
Plan today is to pumpkin carve after lunch. Am going to attempt to pop to our allotment as they told dh we could have one from them. Pumpkin carve then sit down & watch 'scary' films (nightmare before Christmas maybe). Dinner is simple. Heinz tomato soup & quesadilla. Saw it here No recipe, though looks simple enough.

Deathray Yes, I am seeing someone once a week to help with this.

Fluftytufty I ended up leaving it Halloween Blush DH did a basic tidy this morning and ran the hoover round before work.

Miraclequestion I completely forgot about HomeStart Halloween Shock Thank you for reminding me, I will call them this week. Not sure how I forgot about getting back in touch with them Confused In fact- DD is having her nap & boys are glued to stampylonghead, so I will give them a call in a minute.

Crossed posts with you Tamzin125 Today is slightly better, thank you & I have an easy day planned that I hope will be fun for the dc. I do feel bad not doing much with them recently.

Tamzin125 · 31/10/2014 12:47

Aww don't feel bad. Half term can be draining for anyone, even more so when you've got PND. Sometimes quiet(ish) days are good for everyone, kids included. Fwiw your day sounds like great fun :)

DSS is at his Mum's this weekend but it sounds like he's going to have a day pretty similar to yours - watching films before going to a Halloween party with Mum and little brother. I'm supposed to be doing some work today but instead procrastinating on here.
