AIBU?

to wonder if there is anything Shona Sibary wouldn't do for some cash?

Seriously - has she no shame, no personal boundaries about what she should and shouldn't put out there? Hmm

Sorry Daily Mail link here

Basically it's her supposedly tracking down some of her many au pairs and asking what they think of her.
The answers aren't flattering.

Quite frankly Barbadosbelle, I would expect a 5* hotel to ask about my newspaper of choice and provide it, not foist upon me a nasty rag with a history of nazi-sympathy.

And as for The Times, it's not the paper it used to be.

I wonder why she doesn't have the surgery then. Guess maybe it doesn't bother her too much....but for someone who seems so self absorbed and shallow I'm surprised it doesn't bother her more.

Look I totally agree that she does not come across well in this article ( mild understatement) but I really don't think we have to sink to the level of discussing her personal appearance. The only article I read where she came across at all well was one where she says that she knows she isn't attractive, and that's just the way things are.

rookie yes its not nice to discuss her personal appearance but if you read countless articles where she's blethering on - the one about flirting with her DF's friend as a teenager (she had sex with him IIRC?) makes me feel as if she's a leetle bit unhinged...

or maybe not.

I prefer Liz Jones to Shona. Grin

I always view Shona Sibary as the parenting version of those hoarding or cleaning programmes , like 'how clean is your house ' . Because you look at it and think "you know what , no matter what happens , I'm NEVER going to be that bad "

I don't really believe most of any of her articles. Sadly many au pairs are badly treated and underpaid. Whether or not hers we're is something we probably will never really know.

I reckon I can live without that missing info...

If you read the "liberal parent" article though, part way through she starts discussing a "recent article" which, amazingly, completely agrees with what she's just said.

In other words, she is Samantha Bricking us, and changing her own personal circumstances to fit into the brief given to her by the DM in order that all of you will be shocked and click and read it then come on here to moan about her...Hmm

I think it's all an act as is Samantha Brick and all the rest of them.
