Don't judge me by the garbled title! I do want advice I suppose.

I don't have children and I don't think that this will change - never say never I know especially as I'm 33 but ... Anyway, most of my friends have babies and/or toddlers.

The issue is that I rarely or never get to do anything much really as I don't have anybody to do it with! I do have one friend who doesn't have children, and we sometimes do stuff but I never get to go away on holiday or for the weekend or go to a concert or similar. (I wouldn't want to go myself.) I rarely or never get a night out or go out for a meal either!

I am conscious life's passing me by a bit and I want to "live" a bit more! But I do feel a bit limited and I wondered I suppose what others would suggest or recommend I do??

I have a friend who is married but childless. Obviously being married helps with the 'who do I do things with' but I know she had a bit of an existential crisis a few years ago, hated her job, no kids (not sure if choice or not but that's irrelevant), long commute to work. She joined her local running club and loved it. DH and I have done evening classes to make more friends when we've moved location. Sport (unless a club), life drawing (not much chat!), languages (too much like hard work) are not good for making friends; pottery, choir, drama, photography are good for making friends. Basically the activities that require you to sit about a bit give you some time to chat. And a club (rather than an evening class) means there's more continuity. It does take time though.

OP, when you ARE having a fab time, doing wildly exciting things, with all the amazing new people that you will meet on the way....

...don't forget your old mates with the kids. The kids get older and (hopefully) their parents will become more fun again!
