I'm shattered . Ds awful sleeper . I've been up since 5 am with him ( that's a lie in) dh has not .... He is now on the phone to his aunt wishing her happy birthday ... Has been for an HOUR !!!!! I am hungry - not eaten yet as we were planning to watch a programme together over tea ... I have to work tomorrow and want an early night ... AIBU to tell him to hurry the hell up ?!?! He appears to think I am by the looks I'm getting .....

I'd just start eating and watching the TV without him.

I've made dinner , stuck X factor on ... I'm pissed off !!!

Just eat without him.

Yanbu. You are "hangry" and tired. Hand baby to him, which should shorten phone call, and go make yourself something yummy. Don't wait for him!

YANBU and yes they can be. I just do a loud 'Dinner's ready' shout, loud enough for person on other end to here and start eating.

And please tell me what dinner you can make in 3 mins ?

YANBU. I have been waiting in the car for tardy DH and have gone without him. Only once, but it worked.

You are not being unreasonable in any shape or form. DH knows that getting between me and food will result in much grumpiness!

(As will telling me how tired he is after sleeping 10.5hr and I've been up most of the night with DS - he was told the only reason he wasn't under the patio was that it was my turn for a lie-in the next day and I needed him to facilate it )
