Hi feeling a bit down & pissed off. DH working away since July comes home every second Saturday leaves Sunday night.

I'm at home with my 3 DDs 9, 8 & 6 working a night job so busy all day doing housework, walking dog, preparing dinners & packed lunches before kids go home then l go to work while my DM or MIL watches the kids. Just feel like DH doesn't appreciate how hard it is being on my own ......hats off to all single parents. Anyway he doesnt work a Sunday & he's texted me twice today (l phoned him earlier) & lm really pissed off as he knows lm finding it hard going the now & think the least he could do is send me a few text messages to check in or just see how lm doing. What's pissed me off aswell is the fact l know he's got a hangover as well & lm just like wtf must be nice living the single life! I phoned him last night & he couldn't even remember speaking with me!
What's probably made this all the worse is l'be just figured out that while l have a lot of acquaintances l don't really have any real friends (which l know is pathetic and not his fault) but lm just feeling lonely & a bit over whelmed.
Rant over
Thanks

Big hug heading your way. Not much you can do about him working away and his attitude to parenting. I'd just get on with it, don't waste your already low energy levels on worrying about what he is or isn't doing. Just be proud of the fact that you are doing it all with the help of family, he probably feels that because his family are helping that it counts towards his credit. Forget about the housework one day in the week and take some time out to do something that you enjoy. Housework will always need to be done but a happy Mum is a better Mum.

Jesus lady when do you sleep?! Is there an option for you to work days? This really doesnt seem sustainable health wise for you.
Also does he have to work away? Unless you are seriously benefitting financially then its obviously not working for you.
