AIBU to be fucking sick of my kids and their cars?

DS1 is buying a second car 'to tat about with', he has a really nice but very thirsty car already. DS2 has 4, yes 4 cars on the drive!!

Every weekend is taken up with fixing, prettying up or just fucking talking about these bloody cars, DH gets involved and then that's it, no help at all from anyone...and the money, don't get me started. Neither of them drink or smoke but really!

What I am really sick of, with all of these bleedin' cars on the drive is the messing about to get to the one car I want!!! AIBU think having 8 cars on the drive in a 4 person house is fucking abnormal???

You have my sympathy. In our house it is bloody motorbikes - big shiny ones. Then there's the one in pieces which is a 'project' (my arse!).

MrsSippy · 18/10/2014 23:59

yeah, one of DS2s cars is in pieces n the garage, 2 sheds and the utility room Angry

Stealth boast? I wish I had a drive big enough for 8 cars.

Lay the law down about the amount of cars - that is overkill really.

Ask them to help out on one day, don't nag and see what happens. If nothing gets done, take all the keys and book yourself a spa day or do something you would like to do out of the house. Leave a list of things that you want done if they want the keys back. With all that money going on cars - they can bloody well pay for a cleaner for you and save up for a place of their own.

MrsSippy · 19/10/2014 00:07

No not a stealth boast, they are crammed on at all angles and one is in bits all over the place. We have got a reasonable drive - because we took the lawn up!

Thanks for the YANBU Smile

They are taking the piss though - right?

Go on do it - what have you got to lose? Have you got a handbag big enough for all those keys? If not, make it a weekend and take a suitcase!

I have been taking embarrassing photos since birth and they will be put in the blackmail box for the teenage yrs. They will be posted on the future facebook if they don't comply with my rules - haha :)
