I am not that bothered about Facebook. I think it's a great medium for keeping in touch with scattered friends and updating people in one go with pictures and stuff. Just so people don't think I'm a drama llama on Facebook ;)

Earlier, I tried to share a video on Facebook and totally failed, and actually shared someone else's picture. She messaged me immediately with "Hi TFT this picture is a little embarrassing for me, would you mind taking it down?"

I'd realised by this point and deleted it anyway, so replied with, "Hey, have no idea how I managed to share your photo on Facebook! Very strange. Taken it down now anyway. Thanks for telling me, hope you're well. x"

She replied with "I don't know why you shared it and I am not [mutual friend] friend anymore. So I can't talk to one of you." I am not a good friend of this woman, she's more a friend of a friend and we have some shared interests.

I thought she was responded rudely, and deleted and blocked her, but then I was thinking about whether I really was in the wrong? Yes, it was a bit strange sharing her photo, but she put it on there herself. In this day and age, posting pictures on a public forum you then don't want to be shared across the internet is risky, especially when you have a few hundred friends and acquaintances on your Facebook?

Aibu to think I wasn't wholly in the wrong?

This is a long AIBU for saying I don't care about Facebook.

Caption it "My bestie - miss you strange woman's name, can we work things out? Call me! x".

I don't think you necessarily should have apologised - SHE put the photo up in the first place, so it was there for people to see. You didn't do it deliberately and you have now apologised. She sounds like a crazy woman.

I remember a couple of years ago putting some pictures of an evening out up on fb. My 'friend' was out with me and I tagged her in a few of the photos. Nothing incriminating, just a night out for pizza. She messaged me and asked me to untag her, which I did. Over the next few months she got more and more distant and in the end when I called her on it said that we had nothing in common any longer and didn't want to be friends. I can only think she was ashamed of being seen out with me in the photos. Except that I wasn't in the photos with her, and she looked fine.

Some people are fucking weird.

I can't believe she's an adult Hmm
bahaha, I'm going to put what Crispy Fern said and then "it's my photo now licks lips Grin

Not really, I'll saddle my high horse and accept some people got hit by the drama tree too many times. What a knobcake.

She was probably embarrassed to be eating pizza when she told everyone she was on the juice plus diet and had lost a gazillion pounds.

Honestly, I think thank fuck, what a lucky escape, one more weirdo out of my life.
