What have I missed now? RL gets in the way yet again...

Dawndonnaagain · 18/10/2014 19:37

Still doing it though, only now it's about coffee, and it's been going on since last Christmas on loads of forums. Strange.

wanttosinglikemarycoughlan · 18/10/2014 19:39

how did you all know the coffee was the same, I thought different name??

brainfidget · 18/10/2014 19:40

The purpose baffles me. It's not a bot either - sometimes it responds. The only reason I can think of is to slowly get sympathy and PM contacts and phish that way??

ghostyslovesheep · 18/10/2014 19:40

not really

it's easy Want because the same thread is all over the interweb

Vitalstatistix · 18/10/2014 19:41

I know, yes, they clearly are a totally friendless sadsack, and that's genuinely unfortunate and if it was just one I'd agree but they are just wanting to clog up the boards with the same posts over and over and over again and that's really not on, no matter how pathetic they are, is it? I don't want an active convos with 50 threads about coffee and 50 about being blocked on fb.

I suppose really we should all agree to simply not post anything on their threads and hope they get bored and toddle off if their posts are not replied to at all by anyone.

I promise to stop calling them pathetic little twerps if everyone else agrees we're going to ignore them Grin

jacks365 · 18/10/2014 19:42

I picked up on the coffee one because of the style of the op, there is a sort of whinging repetition to the description

wooooosualsuspect · 18/10/2014 19:42

Not going any harm apart from being extremely annoying.

BertieBotts · 18/10/2014 19:43

Bots can respond, depends on the type of bot.

wantacatplease · 18/10/2014 19:44

YY, I've given up commenting on the threads now. It's boring.

Vitalstatistix · 18/10/2014 19:45

can they start a thread asking about a specific poster? cos this one did. Which makes me think it's a real person.
albeit a lonely little one.

not with something that makes sense to a question Bertie

Not without some seriously good programming - not a characteristic of our facebook / church / coffee friend.

Vitalstatistix · 18/10/2014 19:46

the responses are mainly just along the lines of piss off. They really aren't missing much.

MiddletonPink · 18/10/2014 19:48

The Facebook troll?

What's that then?

Vitalstatistix · 18/10/2014 19:52

some stupid twat who is posting the same thing over and over again, here and all over the net. gets banned, rejoins with another name and starts all over again.
you'd think that at some point, the message would get hammered through, but apparently not. They just keep going.

jacks365 · 18/10/2014 19:54

barista is back lets all report and not post

wanttosinglikemarycoughlan · 18/10/2014 19:54

Its pretty sad really, they seem very needy (or just an idiot)
If they posted normally then they would get more attention and chat

LEMmingaround · 18/10/2014 19:56

What is a bot???

OP posts:
MiddletonPink · 18/10/2014 19:56

Oh right.. haven't seen them thank fuck

Vitalstatistix · 18/10/2014 19:58

sad? google's got ten pages of this crap
here

bot is a computer programme that aims to interact, I think. But this isn't it. This is an actual person

Linskibinski · 18/10/2014 20:01

Yep, what's a bot? Smile

LEMmingaround · 18/10/2014 20:02

But how long would it take to post all that?? They are trying to break the internet aren't they?

OP posts:
Linskibinski · 18/10/2014 20:03

Wow! . Grin

BertieBotts · 18/10/2014 20:04

Bots do often have much better programming these days - look up Luke Robert Mason on infomorphs.
