Piper you aren't alone any more.

How old are your dd and DS?

Noshowofmojo · 17/10/2014 23:29

Sorry you're feeling this way Piper but you've answered your own question about what's the point in living - the point being you have a family who love and need you. I wish I could be of more help.

Noshowofmojo · 17/10/2014 23:30

I love OITNB! Isn't it well written? So funny and touching and thought provoking - clever writers and great actors.

adsy · 17/10/2014 23:32

the credits apparently show the real life Piper. You know all the faces? Which one is she?

Notmeagain1 · 18/10/2014 02:43

How are you doing Piper?

PiperIsOrange · 18/10/2014 19:19

Been Okish today. Went a bought sleeping tablets so hopefully they will kick in before the panic attacks.

I wish I knew why I get them.

OP posts:
Notmeagain1 · 18/10/2014 19:30

Hard to tell what brings them on. Sounds as if you DH supports you, which is good. If you begin to have another one tonight, post on here or wake DH for a cuddle to help get you through it.

Sending warm wishes for a good and reastful night.

Notmeagain1 · 18/10/2014 19:31

You're not on your own piper Thanks

Have you ever had cbt (or other therapy) for the panic attacks? I used to have horrendous panic attacks and cbt wad fantastic.

Can you talk to us about how you're feeling?

PiperIsOrange · 18/10/2014 22:38

I don't mind talking online.

How I feel is all in my head, I feel like I'm a waste of space and DH only stays with me because of the kids ( his ex took his dd away) my house is a mess. I find it a real struggle to even have a bath as it's just too much effort.

My sex life is non existing, I don't click with DS new teacher. Dd is very clingy and doesn't want any one else.

My whole life atm is shit.

Then it's Christmas in which I will be working yet again, but I don't have the money to make it up to them.

Notmeagain1 · 18/10/2014 23:03

Piper, you are not a waste of space. You have two Dcs that love and need you.

Im in the states and have to run out, but will check back when I get back home. Try to rest. x

ShesAnEasyWuffer · 19/10/2014 08:04

Hi piper, sorry I had to go to bed - I'm up half the night with teething dd!

You're not a waste of space! As not me said, your dcs love and need you, as does your dh. Just because his ex left with his dd doesn't mean he's only staying with you for the kids. That's just your sad head talking and giving you doubts.

All of the things you mention can and will be resolved with time and by getting some help. Things are shit at the moment but it won't always be this way. You really need to concentrate on yourself - helping to get control of the panic attacks. I really would recommend going to the gp as you do sound very down and tired. As I mentioned above, cbt is fab for panic attacks. I will have a look online and try and find details of some of the techniques to help when you're feeling panicky. Someone else would be able to explain it far more eloquently than I could.

Had a look online and the links above might be useful for you. Forgot to mention in my post above, in addition to the cbt I found meditation/mindfulness really helpful for anxiety. There must be videos on YouTube for this if you don't want to pay for a book or DVD. There are also meditation classes at Buddhist centres if there's one local to you.

ShesAnEasyWuffer · 19/10/2014 08:22

Just had a quick look on YouTube and there are loads of guided meditation videos. I think they'd not only help with anxiety but also your mood in general. Look after yourself, and be kind to yourself, and we're always here if you need to talk Thanks
