He is talking about the nutibullet - I think he is going to explode with excitement. He is going to either have an orgasm or an heart attack.

Why the hell have I not watched stuff like this before? It is amazing! So funny.

Hurr1cane · 17/10/2014 05:50

Yeah DP watches those things in bed when he can't sleep. They make very amusing watching Grin

Madamecastafiore · 17/10/2014 05:51

Nutribullet is amazing though.

shouldnthavesaid · 17/10/2014 06:06

I had to.watch an nhs video about hand hygiene the other day which was very similar to this. I can't explain it totally but the woman seemed to think she was in pantomime or something! Just her wild gestures and enunciation of clostridium difficile (!).. Made the session more.interesting as I.kept wondering wtf they'd doped her up with that hand hygiene could excite her so much!!

Camsie30 · 17/10/2014 06:34

The nutribullet is definitely orgasm worthy. I love mine big time

giraffescantboogie · 17/10/2014 07:35

I will admit it did look quite good!

I ADORE infomercials. I especially love looking for those almost imperceptible moments that give away how shit the product really is.

madasa · 17/10/2014 08:14

I have a food processor, a liquidiser and a blender.

Would I use a nutribullet? (love gadgets)

Would it do anything that the others don't?

Germgirl · 17/10/2014 08:17

I love the bits where they show the 'before', they're always in black & white, usually with a vexed looking woman, sweating & looking helpless while ineptly chopping veg with a blunt knife or getting dinner stuck to a pan or being unable to shut a wardrobe door.
Then, cut to the same woman, filmed in colour, with better hair & no sweat, serenely pushing veg through a plasticky looking contraption, or poking some food in a halogen oven or stroking piles of vacuumed plastic bags in a suspiciously empty wardrobe.
I love a good infomercial.

FairyHanny · 17/10/2014 10:46

My favourite one currently, is for space-saving bags you vacuum the air out of. A small line comes up at the bottom of the screen towards the end of the ad stating the product is a Good Housekeeping Best Buy 1998 (or very similar) Grin

TraceyTrickster · 17/10/2014 23:59

my 7 year old loves the nutribullet infomercial (on every 5 mins) and is using it to hone her sarcasm skills. We both love that it 'adds' vitamins.

How can something blended be more nutritious than the original food? But a simple drink -not a smoothie- will make your hair shine, your makeup become perfect and your kid well behaved.

LaurieFairyCake · 18/10/2014 00:07

I can't watch them

I buy any old shit

They're the only things in life that make me feel as thick as pigshit

giraffescantboogie · 18/10/2014 01:16

madasa yes - it blends up nuts and seeds to nothingness (not actually correct) and you only have to clean the cup, no fiddly annoying bits.

Looks awesome!

I had a magicbullet (looks almost identical) and it was great, until my DH destroyed it by accident. I used it nearly every day - will definitely get another one. It's not that it does anything different to a normal blender/food processor, it just takes up very little space and is really easy to clean.

PacificDogwood · 18/10/2014 09:09

I bet this is easier to clean Grin
And comes without overexcited promotion!

ithoughtofitfirst · 18/10/2014 09:11

Hehe you said comes

PacificDogwood · 18/10/2014 09:12

Pun entirely intended Grin

madasa · 18/10/2014 09:50

Thanks Giraffes....couldn't wait for responses (impatient emoticon) so bought one yesterday anyway.

fluffyraggies · 18/10/2014 10:09

Q ...

I've been toying with the idea of buying a juicer for about 4 years. I know you need to spend a fair bit to get a decent one. Do these fruit/veg drinks really taste ok though?

I can totally see the logic in it all but if it tastes like shite i'll not use it more than twice Grin

giraffescantboogie · 18/10/2014 16:33

I have a juicer, I bought it on here when there was a mad craze for the jason vale juices.

They are delicious (unless you put rank ingredients in)

But are very wasteful, you throw a lot out from a juicer.

I stopped using mine so much because of cleaning it - was a nightmare. Could never ever get the mesh bit properly clean.

OP posts:
PacificDogwood · 18/10/2014 16:55

Oh, I love my juicer - delicious juice and then I eat the dry, fibrous bits

I think the Bullet thing seems like a good idea but ludicrously overpriced.

giraffes, get one and then do a product review on here Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/10/2014 17:01

You know this is where QVC comes into it's own.
OK , some of the presenters are good, informative , ask questions and let the guest presenter talk but keep them going when they flounder while keeping within the time constrainsts.

Others just blether a load of verbal sh*te.
Two of them I can only stand if I really want to watch the promotion and I put the sound down. (Actually they are quite funny with the sound off)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/10/2014 17:03

I have a halogen oven and those vacuum bags and those thin hangers with the flocky cover than your clothes don't slip from.

My life is in Multi-Colour Grin

Hatespiders · 18/10/2014 17:33

I've just watched an American promotion video on You tube of this Nutribullet gadget to find out what it is. At the end it had a list of what it will do for you and I saw Bum Fat.
Then I put my glasses on. It actually says Burn Fat.

CarbeDiem · 18/10/2014 18:44

Thanks! I'll now think about orgasms in the kitchen every time I use my bullet now :)

fluffyraggies · 18/10/2014 19:10

70 I've recently weaned myself off QVC and i'm not going back to it! Grin

Really considering this bullet thing for xmas from whole family. I'm trying to low carb on a budget and i'm sooooo sick of fecking cheese, ham, omlettes, and cheese and ham omlettes that i think i might actually enjoy a broccoli, kale and pineapple smoothie!
