AIBU?

My bloody neighbour!

My neighbour is one if those who constantly buy new gadgets.

A couple of weeks ago he came home with a little helicopter thing with a camera on it.

He's constantly flying it over our gardens and filming us! He casually mentioned things that he has seen in my and my neighbours gardens.

I feel like taking it off him and smashing it. I love the privacy of my garden and I feel like he's being a selfish git.

Myself and my neighbours have told him to stop flying over our properties but he insists he's allowed as we down own the airspace Hmm

Aibu to stick it up his arse?

Moon him first, then the next day do the laser thing.

Have flamboyant, obviously enjoyable sex. Then call 101 and tell them your neighbour is filming you having sex.

You can't have cctv facing into someone's garden or at their house so this would be a similar thing?

You need to dig a huge hole in your back garden and wrap up some pillows in black bags shaped to look like a body, lay it next to the hole with a shovel and see how long it takes him to call the police?

Call 101.
Then after they have 'told him off' (bet he hates that!) you should shoot the drone down with a super soaker or something.

I SSK like the suggestion of getting a bigger drone and digging his!

You have to feel for his wife... it's no wonder she's out a lot Grin

I'd get a big net and catch it - hold it hostage until he promises A) to stop with the bins and B) only fly it down the park.

Just speak to the local PCSO and get them to have a word with him.

what ever you do, don't shoot it down, you dont want to be arrested yourself.

Ugh what a creep!

Hosepipe it, then if he complains say "well you don't own the airspace"

Oooh, tempting to put up some surveillance equipment to eavesdrop on the police conversation with him! Grin

I saw a Judge Judy episode on something similar to this. I think some bloke kept flying his plane over his neighbours' gardens. Unfortunately for him, his plane crashed in one of their gardens and the owner of the garden refused to give it back. Can't remember Judy's ruling but she was very sympathetic to the neighbours if I remember rightly (which I might not have :))

Hosepipe it. Please. After all, you can't help where the water goes, can you?

He's now known as peeping parking twat Grin

His wife is lovely and I think she's at the end of her tether with him.

I've spoken to the pcso and she's going to have words so fingers crossed.

Start practising your Sad Face then call local paper:

Family's Hell From Peeping Tom Neighbour

"Our creepy neighbour won't stop filming my children playing. Please can someone help? He says it's a free country, but why does he insist on spying on us and the rest if the neighbourhood's kids?"

That'll stop him.

Wink

There's an all party Parliamentary Group on drones and Tom Watson, or at least his comments, featured on a R5L discussion this morning.
I think it was sparked by the football match incident in one of this week's internationals Report and they were also speaking with someone from Notts Forest who've experienced intrusive drone filming over their ground for advertising unrelated to their club.

The debate then went on to cover rights to privacy and examples such as topless sunbathing, small children naked in paddling pools, weddings or events in your own back garden and how in your own space you should have a right to privacy or at least not to have photographic records made of your daily activities.

I don't think filming can be compared to a neighbour looking out of their window. If that same neighbour had a hand held video camera and used it to film what you were up to you'd report them.

If he used to be normal he might be starting with dementia so things will get much worse unfortunately Sad

Has he just retired?

He might want to take up Golf.

He retired early July. His behaviour has gone weird.

His wife thinks he's just bored.

op this made me smile, honestly whatever next?! its hilarious, but also very intrusive and rude. Can you DH not baffle them with science and say prompted by his helicopter your DH has managed to hook up to a satelite and can watch them in their house too?
