To love Nev and Max from Catfish, and wish more men were like them?

I love this show and the main reason is the way these two guys are with both the 'victims' of deceit from the 'catfish', but how much they care about both of them, how they are empathetic, non judgemental and attempt to understand what is going on for both participants. I don't know anything about these guy's private lives but they seem like such good role models for young men. It's so rare to see this on TV, maybe it's all an act but I don't think so. I admire the warmth they display to the deluded young people and how they try to understand why the 'catfish' have behaved how they have. Anyone else seen the show and feel the same..?

I agree, they seen like really decent guys. I didn't think Max was a victim of Catfish. He certainly is yummy though!

I loved both of them until I read a story about Nev attacking a woman when he was at college Sad now I'm not so keen.

Yes it was Nev who was the original victim in the film. Glad it's not just me who feels like I do. It's not a crush as such, it's just so RARE to see decent guys confronting arseholes in real life. Just wish more men were like that...

I love them too!

My favorite was when the catfisher was the extremely angry guy who they met in the park and Nev had to get all masterful, didn't he have a broken foot or something at the time as well? They are such lovely guys Smile

It was in his autobiography & he said it was self defence & he lashed out to stop the person attacking him while he was trying to take photos. It was only afterwards that he found out it was a woman & when he explained his side to the story to the police the charges were immediately dropped.

Wilf according to reports there were four witnesses who back up the woman's story saying it was an unprovoked attack. I suppose if they dropped the charges though then he's essentially not guilty. I still feel a bit funny about it regardless.
