Help! Cheap Ideas for Birthday Outing

ElectronEagle · 08/10/2014 19:05

DP is 35 in a fortnight and we are skint - normally in the past we have gone for a meal out and either bowling or the cinema, but we are down to our last £10 to last the month!

Im after some free cheap and cheerful ideas that me and the DSs can do with him for his birthday.

He likes: Gaming, Football, Reading.

TIA :)

Trip to a museum with a picnic lunch?

A 24 hour uninterrupted gaming card, this is free but you really need to follow through.

Thanks for those

He had the 24 hour gaming earlier in the year. I could offer it again though. He did enjoy it Grin

Never thought of a museum. Its finding one which will interest him and also the DSs (and I his kids possibly as we are supposed to have them that weekend as well)

We all enjoyed the MOSI (Manchester Museum of Science and Industry) when we went, which is free (though you can leave a donation).
Or the Railway Museum at York (was a hit with DH and DS) also free.

Whereabouts are you OP?

ElectronEagle · 09/10/2014 10:05

Im in Wolverhampton, but have rail cards and bus passes so can travel (within reason anyway). Ive been looking at Wowcher, but nothing seems to be on there at the minute !
