the acronyms used on these threads as words in my head when I read? (ie AIBU=ayboo, YANBU=yanboo, YABU=yaboo). and IRL I keep wanting to say these as actual words in conversations!

And I never see it as " darling son/daughter " I see " dear son/ daughter "

I DID say "Yaboo" to someone once! Thank God they looked at me blankly or they could have found me out!

PFB - perfect first born. Often comes out as a syndrome in FTMs (first time mums), IIRC (if I remember correctly.)

Or Precious First Born - often appears in a context where the parent is being overprotective, not just the G&T or stealth boast type threads.
