To want to call him a lanky, baldy bastard?

My husband is 5'7. Same height as me.
I'm quite conscious of it and don't wear heels.
We also live in a country where people are really tall! This emphasises it, I suppose.
He went out with a friend and I picked them up.
In the car as I was dropping him home, he said something derogatory (not the first time) about his height.

The man that said it is very tall....and bald.
But I would imagine he'd think me very rude if I did, indeed call him a lanky, baldy bastard! (I reeeeeeeally wanted to)

Husband can fight his own battles btw, but he didn't hear it and I didn't tell him. It pissed me off.

YANBU to want to.

Next time perhaps make a reference to how wonderful it is that he is same height so you can both shag standing up perfectly? Not to mention how amazing it is to grab hold of his lovely locks as you do so.

Maybe not, but I'm petty.

I would.

Love that, Molly.
Imagine.
i might use the luscious locks bit with a knowing look.
Pisses me off the way that some people think taller=better/more important.
It's like height elitism.

Friend of the family is like this.
Very tall, is really dismissive of dh.
Compare his grandson with our son the same age, "oh look at big strong gdc next to AB's ds! "
If anybody tall talks to him it's all wonderful, anyone shorter than him and he's all sneery.
